Working out from home is a LIFE SAVER when if you're busy... Somedays I have so much going on that I barely have 30 minutes to myself!⠀
Working out from home is a great option when you are in a bind or don't have the time to go to the gym.⠀
That being said, I truly believe you need to be in the gym, actually weight training, a couple times a week.⠀
Body weight workouts only gets you so far. So, if you really want to get that toned and fit look, you definitely need to be hitting the weights in the gym.⠀
Workouts from home can be VERY distracting and hard to focus on what you're actually doing. For me, I'm constantly thinking about my chores while I workout. Where's the laundry at? What should we do for dinner? Why is the floor so dusty?⠀
The gym gives you that environment that forces you to push yourself that you don't get at home. You made it there so you might as well give it your all, right? At home, nobody is there and it's easier to stop what you're doing and start something else.⠀

Yep! My workout and nutrition plan allows me to indulge in a few cheats. I believe that if you try and be “perfect” with food choices you will only end up sabotaging yourself. I’ve tried it and it doesn’t work. (For me at least)
If course you don’t want to go crazy and binge on nachos all day—just indulge in whatever you’re craving without totally abandoning your plan. If you’re worried that a little cheat might lead you down a slippery slope, don’t do it. The idea is that you can have a day without worrying about calorie counts, protein- to-carb ratios, or anything else. It’s important to give your body a rest and a reward for the hard work. now excuse me while I go eat my warm cookies with milk..

Ashlie and I started working together when she joined my Toned Body | Fit Mind Academy back in November and has been making some incredible LIFE CHANGING shifts ever since. “Before: I was a thin person. I was active but I was doing mainly cardio. I was exercising 7 days a week and would be really hard on myself if I missed a day. I was only eating between 1200-1300 calories; I was always hungry. I was constantly binging and restricting. I would be in tears if I ate pizza or ice cream one day. I was the definition of a “yo -yo dieter.” My energy levels were low; brain fog was super real.
After: Active 4-5 days a week; doing mostly weight lifting. I do one day of cardio (sometimes none) and love love love my rest days. I consume between 1800-2000 calories a day. I no longer binge and restrict. I allow myself to enjoy life and eat those “treats.” Ice cream is my jam I don’t let one meal or one cookie get me down. I have so much more energy and my productivity is out of this world, especially at my job. Bye bye brain fog
It’s taken me a long long time to get to this point. I’m still learning everyday. I have good days and bad days. Exercise is more than just about the physical results; I use exercise to make me feel good; I need it for my mental health and to keep me sane. When you put those shorts on and they fit like Day 2 unwashed instead of Day 1 fresh out of the dryer (y'all know what I'm talking about)! I know what it feels like to not feel good in your own skin. In those shorts you JUST bought a size *up* in and they're tight already.
To go into your closet and always resort to the dark shirts and black skirts and dark jeans because darker means they have a ‘slimming effect ’
