You know when you get a super cool idea but you can’t do it yourself? I’ve been learning a lot about the decline of our pollinators and wanted to make a bee house to help attract and keep these worker bees. But I didn’t have the skills to make what I wanted. You are not going to bee-lieve what Hubby surprised me with.

I feel like I’m taking as many pictures of the disposal options as I am the beautiful scenery here in Costa Rica! But it’s hard not to when it’s so inspiring how ingrained it in the society here! Helping me with my Spanish too! I learned vidrio means glass! Unfortunately, as you can see, plastic still holds the lead as the most widely used form of packaging...
Catena, is the Italian word for chain, and this is my newest collection! This collection, features vintage chain that I have repurposed into new designs. Classic, but with a contemporary twist, each piece is unique and special and you can feel good about wearing a piece of jewellery that was repurposed.
So...... for Christmas I got a mat cutter. This week I took it out of its box (what can I say, it’s been a busy year)! I have yet to actually try to USE it mind you, but I’m feeling super motivated now as the mats that I ordered online arrived and I just love how this picture looks framed, with a mat. This one I’m keeping but I’m so excited to offer matted pictures in frames of different shapes and sizes. Stay tuned!

This project was one epic failure after another. I almost gave up. Several times. But persistence paid off and we now have a ladybug hotel in our garden. It’s made with 100% sustainable and organic materials and it turned out to be pretty stinkin cute. Even with all of the frustration and failures. I’ll give you the behind the scenes of the ladybug hotel that almost didn’t make it.

I found the key to success!! Hehe jk, I came SO CLOSE to buying this #castiron piece at an antique sale the other day but I backed out at the last second... I’m BIG into sifting thrift finds but you also gotta know when to let things go. ♀️ Speaking from experience, cLuTtEr can be a KILLER to the creative mind!! This last week I took a breather from posting to focus on more decor with dual-purposes—living in small spaces, it’s gotta do more than just look good ya feel me??? I opted for a picture of the piece this time since I think I liked the look more than the price
