You know that I'm keen of less-known wine-regions😍
So for the #wine_trips_2019 serie you can't miss the French Switzerland🇨🇭especially the Canton Vaud❤️
Every time I went there I had a great time😊, I enjoyed beautiful landscapes ⛰ both inside and outside the cities, the food is really good (when I say this remember that I'm italian😏!)..cheese🧀, chocolate🍫, meat🥩and above all wine🍷!
About wine, for white the main native variety is Chasselas🌟 and then Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. For red wines are noteworthy 😍Gamay, Pinot Noir and the crossbreeds varieties of Gamaret and Garanoir🍷
This is also called the region of Lake Leman, so I propose you a ride around the lake🚙😎:
🔹starting from the elegant city of Geneva🏙, where you can enjoy tasty local gastronomy and wines from AOC Geneve🍇You should visit the wineries of the AOCs of the Geneva Canton, such as the 1er cru AOC Dardagny especially the @domaineleshutins 🔝
🔹Going towards Lausanne, you can't miss the La Cote AOC are🌟the main wine-growing area of the CV. Here so many wineries worth visiting, you could to get lost! Surely when I come back I'll go to @domainehenricruchon 🔹take a break in Lausanne🌃, nice and dynamic city, and then go to explore a wonderful wine area🌟UNESCO World Heritage Site: #Lavaux - an expanse of terrace vineyards on the lake where there is a special microclimate for growing grapes and producing fantastic Chasselas wines🤩The key word is amazing!
🔹last but not least, a nice walk along the lake in Montreaux🥰, a beautiful place, very romantic and known in the world for its summer music festival🎶...if you go don't forget to greet the statue of Freddy Mercury!😎💥
Do you wanna know when to go there?
Surely this summer🌞! In the period of the @fetedesvignerons - a special celebration of the winemaking tradition 🍇🍷recognized by UNESCO - to be held from 18/07 to 11/08 in Vevey.
