(3/3). This is the menu board in an original milk bar (bar mleczny in Polish) in Nowa Huta, a communist built suburb of Kraków. The milk bars started life in 1896 but took off in the communist era where they were subsidised by the government and gave workers an affordable meal. It was like stepping back in time in here, the board had been up for donkeys years and I was told the place had never changed. If there was no price against the item on the menu they had sold out. Hopefully some of these places will be preserved and not changed. Sometimes some things need to be left as they are.
