For those that aren't aware of what happens behind the scenes of pedalling a bike...
This is a short & sweet overall introduction to me getting a bike fit. After hours of trial and error, finally found the correct position that works for ME and MY spine
I can't stress enough the importance of a professional bike fit. I walked out with tears after 3 hours of trial and error so happy that I'm finally comfortable and my pain level halved. It's still a working project, there's so many aspects of a bike that can be changed we aren't even aware of.
This little man asks me every day...mom you have to work today? Breaks my heart having to say yes. Needless to say when I am home he is never far from my side, even when he should be sleeping!! He slept for my 1:30 trainer ride this morning!!!
Cracking day for a ocean swim & recon run for #sunnycoast703 in a couple of weeks time.
Was good to see a fellow triathlete @racheames72 smashing out a run

A few action shots from @ironmangdynia this past weekend...nothing like a spot of rain to keep you on your toes during the run! Huge thanks to the spectators (including Izzy!) who braved the brief torrential rains to support the racers. The best fans ever! #triathlon#racing#running : Sportografia.pl / Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia
did ya miss me?? I've been a little off both my training game and my insta game this past week because if you haven't heard yet, I got ENGAGED this week!!! I am so excited that my favorite training partner is going to be mine for LIFE!♀️ but since I had to leave Kyle and Minnesota, it's time to get back on the training grind. Honestly, after a period of little to no training, it's easy for me to fall in a slump where I don't really have a desire to start training again. I only managed a little strength workout today and I am feeling pretty guilty about it, because I could've done more if I had managed my time better. So I decided to do something to help pull myself out of this lack-of-motivation slump. I wrote down ways to help me achieve my goals and get faster this semester and taped it to my bathroom mirror. I hope I will see these every day and be motivated (or at least guilted) into lacing up my running shoes or hopping on my bike. School starts in a week so finding time to train is only going to get tougher, so I need to start forming good time management habits now!! Let's do this
I want you to have an AHA MOMENT right now.
Not another week, month or year of telling yourself you’re eventually going to get around to it.
RIGHT F* NOW.
Stop telling yourself you don’t deserve it.
Stop telling yourself you can’t do it.
Stop telling yourself you don’t matter.
For once, take a second and be a little selfish to CARE ABOUT YOURSELF.
Your PERSONAL HEALTH matters.
Your PERSONAL WELL-BEING matters.
It’s time you DO SOMETHING about your current situation and CHANGE something.

Run didn't go as planned today. So instead of not doing anything, I got on the bike! It also helped motivate me that my husband got on his bike too since he couldn't get in a run either. Although my lower calves/inner ankles are giving me trouble again at least I can cross train and still get in a solid workout.
Nothing compares to being at one with your thoughts in the mountains on a windy dirt road that reminds you of home!
my training while in Rochester hasn't been perfect, but it's better than nothing! for the first few days that I've been here visiting Kyle, we stayed so busy I couldn't even squeeze a short run in. who knew med students were so social?? we had a great time partying at the dean's house and on the class camping trip (swipe to see the views!!) but when the weekend ended it was time to start getting up at 5am to swim with the local masters team I got in a 4km swim yesterday and followed with a track workout last night. Kyle sooo did not want to do the workout with me but didn't complain and did it anyways! I have missed my favorite training partner and never want to leave♀️ I hate not having my bike here though--going to have some major catching up to do on the @iracelikeagirl#250milesinaugust challenge when I get back!
