Well after being sick and feeling like I was on my death bed for a few days I finally got back in to the gym and I must say I felt pretty good considering I am still not 100% and I haven’t lifted for 7 days. Plus it was good to see everyone who comes in to @nwfitnessandstrength In the mornings, it is great to start off the morning seeing everyone and getting the laughs in. Hello hypertrophy 💪🏻 Biceps & Triceps today. Completely forgot about my delts though! 🙈 How did I manage that?! Durgh. I did do a quick 12 minutes of interval training after weights though, so at least that’s something.

Ob sich das häufigere Armtraining auf meinen Trizeps ausgewirkt hat 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ .
SCHULTERUPDATE 👇🏻. Nach meiner 3. Stoßwelle wird es mit der Schulter langsam gefühlt etwas besser - 2 Sotzungen sollen noch folgen. Das bedeutet noch weitere 3-4 Wochen kein Schultertraining - Leute ihr glaubt nicht was ich für schweres Seitheben oder Klimmzüge tun würde 😅 ich vertraue einfach mal auf mein Muskelgedächtnis, dass sich die Relation vom Trizeps zur Schulter dann wieder gibt 🙃 hatte jemand von euch schon mal eine längere Pause? Wie lange habt ihr gebraucht um wieder auf den alten Stand zu kommen?
Für mich stehen heute noch 2 Kurse an bevor ich ins Wochenende starte (obwohl das bei mir nie einen Unterschied macht 😅) Genießt das tolle Wetter ❤️

If you want bigger arms, focus on triceps! The tricep is the more complex and larger part of the upper arm. While the bicep has two heads the tricep has 3 heads! 🔥Wrist Extension🔥
.
💥 If you have pain with push-ups or other weight-bearing exercises, many times working to improve your wrist extension mobility can help a lot with decreasing compressive stress and pain at the wrist
.
💥 A quick test to check to see if your wrist extension is lacking is to put your palms together as if in a prayer position, and slowly drop your hands DOWNWARD while lifting your elbows UPWARD. Look in the mirror to see if there is any difference in the amount of wrist extension between both sides. It's also helpful to FEEL if there is any difference in tightness or pain between sides as well
.
💥 If you have limited wrist extension on one side, today's exercise progression can help with that
.
🔹With your hand flat on a countertop, table, or bench, place the web space of your opposite hand at the wrist joint line.
🔹Keeping your hand pinned down, pull your body away to distract the joint slightly, and then lean your body weight forward to feel a stretch in your wrist
🔹Oscillate on and off of the stretch
🔹Ideally, you want to feel the stretch more in the palm (anterior) side of your wrist and forearm without sharp pain deep inside or at the back (posterior) side of your wrist joint 🔹Perform this for 1 to 2 minutes or somewhere between 20 to 50 reps
.
💥 In order to "lock in" any new range of motion gained, it's helpful to train the muscles on both sides of the wrist joint at the end of the new range achieved
🔹At your full stretch, PUSH down your hand and fingers into the surface, slowly ramping up until you achieve 100% contraction
🔹Hold for about 10 seconds, then release and stretch further, holding 10 sec, then repeat
🔹Perform this 3-5 times
.
🔹Follow this with holding the full stretch while trying to LIFT your hand and fingers off the surface, slowly ramping up until you achieve 100% contraction
🔹Hold for about 10 seconds, then release and stretch further, holding 10 sec, then repeat
🔹Perform this 3-5 times

🚨 Your wrist might cramp up or feel a little sore right after you finish this, but it will be helpful in the long run

For strong triceps :
As we know that to perform any activity or workout for any muscle group (upper body) in the gym, the most important muscles are obviously the arms as all the pulling and pushing movement for various muscles are done with the help of biceps (pulling) and triceps (pushing). Triceps are 2/3 while biceps are 1/3 of the upper arm so to make the arms look bigger, we need to focus equally on the triceps.
My favorite 3 exercises for triceps are
1. Skull crushers (Lateral H)
2. Both hands o/h tricep extension (Long H)
3. Tricep cable pushdowns (Medial H) - (basically all the heads are covered in this one)
Back dips (negative push ups) is the perfect tricep finisher exercise that trains basically all of your tricep muscle group. ♥️

💥You DON'T have to be discouraged. Trust me, we've all been there at some point. I've always found that keeping your body guessing is a major key to making progress.
Throw in a few different exercises every time you hit chest, back, arms, legs, etc. Instead of getting used to one way, change angles, rep ranges, tempo. If cardio is your thing, try different exercises like sprints, box jumps, stair climber, etc...

Keep your body guessing. Don't let yourself get too used to the same old routine day in and day out. Try NEW THINGS‼️
