Do you ever stop to notice your surroundings? .
.
This is something I struggle with. My mind is constantly thinking about what it needs to be doing next that sometimes I miss seeing what’s around me. Whenever I get a chance to take a break & go for a walk I’m reminded of how important it is to stop & check in, to notice the little things; but observing our surroundings is easy to do when you have a nice view. The real challenge is remembering to stay aware throughout our day.

I believe if we practice this it will translate into improving other aspects of our life, like our food choices, relationships with others, & self-care. All of which play an important role in our overall well-being. 💕

I thought I’d share because I think we all need that reminder to stop, observe, & just be. 🙏🏼

SWIPE➡️➡️➡️difference between 30" & 36"
Ok, so I know I sound like a broken record when I say: "a few weeks ago I hurt my back, so I am easing my way back into my workouts." Lol - BUT omg it is true! Patience is not my strength, I just want to get straight to business.
➡️Video 1 - Before I hurt my back I was jumping 30" like nothing - today I was struggling!! Which means I have to work on my endurance more!
➡️Video 2 & 3 - I added 6" inches for a total of 36"- last time I tried this I was only able to do 5 with "mess ups in between" ans running like a mile before the jump - lol
TODAY I did 3 - less BUT I was able to jump from closer. I STILL had to run into the jump but less. So that's progress.
➡️My goal is to ne able to jump the 36" without running so much into it and increase my reps. I am not giving myself a deadline ... I'll just work on it.

360 calories for this shrimp stir fry😍🍤🍚🥦🥕 I can’t express enough EASY, SIMPLE, and DELICIOUS this is!! This will probably be my new thing to make often!

🔹1 box of cilantro rice
🔹 fresh broccoli & carrots (I found a bag in the produce of them and used the whole thing)
🔹bag of cook/uncooked shrimp! *I used cooked w/o thinking* 🤷🏼‍♀️
🔹find stir fry sauce in the tomato sauce isle
🔹follow directions for rice first
🔹then in a large pan on medium high mix all your veggies, shrimp, and sauce and let it steam and soften everything up while rice cooks!
🔹serve your veggie & meat over the rice! 🔹enjoy! 😍 mine made 4 servings!

I reallllyyy wanted pancakes this morning! But there was no time to make any. So I settled on granola and yogurt. While most mornings that would satisfy me, today it didn't. I was left craving something more. Because what I really wanted was pancakes. That's kinda what happens when we try to eat things we don't really want, right? .

While it is important to listen to your body and eat what you truly want, it's not always going to work out in that moment. Fact is, I couldn't make pancakes magically appear. So I had something I was less satisfied with and have learned to work through the uncomfortable feelings of not eating exactly what I wanted. This is the practical side of things! .

Intuitive Eating means eating what you really want so you can be truly satisfied. Most meals I am able to do that. Sometimes though, it doesn't work out because life happens. That's okay. Practicality is just as important as eating what you love! It is more important that I nourish myself and eat breakfast than not eat at all because I don't have exactly what I want. It is important that I recognize where my cravings are coming from and that the uncomfortable feelings will pass and a new opportunity to eat what I want will come (instead of trying to fill the satisfaction "void" by overeating). .

Get rid of the rigid thinking!! The way we eat is not black and white and there is room for flexibility. Make sure you are kind to your body and are giving it the fuel that it needs. The great thing about hunger is that it comes around again - because our bodies are constantly burning energy. Which means plenty of opportunities to eat what you love!

¡Hora de comer!😋 Entre semana tengo poquísimo tiempo para comer, por eso si no he preparado nada el día anterior siempre recurro a platos rápidos pero por supuesto saludables y si son tan llenos de color como este aún mejor.

This is the day the Lord has made and I WILL be glad and rejoice in it!! -

Gorgeous morning with the sun shining, a cup of coffee and watching my girls play in the early morning shade and dew. I love this view 😍Thursday’s are my pay day and I woke up to the biggest weekly check I’ve ever had since beginning this journey and that has me PUMPED! -

Yes for the financial benefit my family gets, but I automatically think of all of the lives that are being touched, changed and every person that finally trusted themselves and me to take that first step!! -

Does anyone struggle with their diet?! Im currently counting macros which is something I have only done once before and sometimes it's so hard! You think this is nice and healthy.. put it in the macro calc and suddenly you have have 80% carbs 17% fat and 3% protein

So the unofficial start to summer is this coming weekend! -

I know for some people, myself included, it can be overwhelming, frustrating and just down right depressing when thinking of “bathing suit season.” -

It makes me so sad that society puts such a strong emphasis on flat stomach, chiseled abs and toned arms and legs. -

We were each wonderfully and fearfully made; we were woven in our mother’s womb and there will only ever be one “you!” -

Healthy looks differently on each person; and yes, we all have goals of where we want to be and what we want to do. -

But let’s focus on getting healthy from the inside out! -

💫 Tip Tuesday 💫

Track your food! And it doesn’t have to be by calories - it can be percentage of the plate, cups or teaspoons, spoonfuls or handfuls. Just some way so that you can see how much food you’re actually eating. -

Like I even put down how many licks of Bethany’s ice cream cone I had the other day 😅 They add up and you may be surprised! -

This is a great way to possibly identify times of the day that you over eat or something like that. And once you’ve identified it, you can take control of it! -
