We were thankful to have excellent weather today picking up garbage along the Campbell River! Even though some mistook these fly fishers as completing hours towards community service in wearing their vests, they were actually serving as proud stewards and conservationists! They're our future - and are protectors of our natural resources.
A few cool shots of the @buydeeper from a couple of new lakes that I was scouting out today. I turned on ice fishing mode and hung it off the dock. I was jigging for crappie or whatever would bite and found a few that was willing to come check out my bait. I could only manage one little 6" largemouth though. It was still fun seeing them come up and eye the bait.
Today I landed my first ever Steelhead. To say that I was excited would truly be an understatement...unfortunately I had abandoned hope and left my net in the car and he didn’t care to stay long enough for a photo op. The addiction is real.
