Kettlebells ... great for full body workouts that focus on strength and conditioning.
Kettlebells should be used once a good base of flexibilty, mobility and strength has been attained. The ketllebell will then progress the above even further for example a turkish get-up and windmill will develop a strong core and increase shoulder flexibility & stability whilst other moves such as a kettlebell swing will increase power. It's a great all rounder👍

I can definitely feel the increased cardio taking it’s toll on my strength training.

I haven’t been taking any sports supplements since my last strength program up to mid November.

I generally take breaks off supplementation unless I’m really pushing myself.

I’ll probably hang off till the new year anyway.

The other way I know I’m not getting enough in supplements or even diet is I’m dropping more weight that I’d like.

We’ll see how it goes over the Christmas anyway.

Being physically ready. People often ask me how often do you practice AcroYoga or Acrobatics. The answer is very little. Mostly because when your body is ready for a move or a trick you just go and learn it. But when your body it's not ready you just get frustrated by endless attempts or injured because of them.

What helped me the most with AcroYoga was getting my hamstring flexible and my wrists strong. With acrobatics I did fix my ankles that were not in a good shape after all the shitty landings but I still struggle with loosening my core and shoulder flexibility. Until I get them fixed an entire spectrum of moves is not in my range.
Get your body ready for what you're doing. Have you taken good care of your old injuries so they don't came back or cause problems? Do you have proper Mobility so you can operate in the ranges of motion you wanna operate in? Do you have Stability/Strength in order to maintain proper alignment even if things go off?

Do that and the technique will come fast and without harm.

42kg Turkish get up!! 😩🥳 Today’s mid work day motivator for me. Not the greatest form, but I’m just glad to be doing something better then I did it yesterday on a regular basis. The feeling you can get from doing that in any aspect of life is so satisfying and strengthens you physically and mentally. To me that is why fitness is so amazing. It not only gave me the sense of achievement when I went through immense self doubt and anxiety, it also now makes me hungry to get this same feeling from all other aspects of my life and aids in self growth from a point of strength.

The Turkish get up and it’s struggles. The vertical arm, joint stability across the whole body, technical movement and general strength to name a few of the challenges. Give them a go regularly to toughen you up, they are a win every time!

Just when I thought the hard part was almost over, @sofletehq hit me with the Clydesdale stamina. EMOM Turkish get-ups and pull-ups. Make every rep count, because the harder you go in here, the better chance you give yourself out there. Good thing I had a 5 hour drive with @jockowillink and @echocharles firing me up to #getafterit and #hammerondown

Day 39 of #40to40 .
Test 1. Strength.
10 reps of Turkish Get Up at 48kg (106lbs). Perhaps more accurately strength endurance.
I’ve been mystified by the Turkish Get Up since 2005. Back then I could barely get a rep with 16kg.
After years of practice and I finally reached a PR with 48kg about two years ago. Reps have been elusive however, until tonight.
Pavel’s #simpleandsinister challenge calls for the practitioner to do 100 one arm swings with the 48kg within 5 minutes. Then after a minute rest, 10 perfect Get Up reps with the same.
Tonight I got one step closer to facing the challenge.
Part 1 of the mission is accomplished.
Would like to also say thank you to those who have already sent me blessings and well wishes for a birthday I have been approaching with no small amount of introspection, nerves, agida. Thank you.
Tomorrow’s test is a real pain in the ass that will make any clients of mine, past or present, chuckle at my dismay.

There aren’t too many things I enjoy more than a good challenge. At first, these #kettlebells were intimidating AF!!! And even though I’m not where I want to be I know I’ll get there so I’m just going to enjoy the ride while learning something totally new to me.

So this is probably not something you usually do... but you should start!! The Turkish get up is a fantastic way to work on mobility and stability and can help identify asymmetries on your right and left side. Your one arm needs to be in a stable overhead position while the rest of your body moves through multiple planes of motion. This is working your shoulders, hips, core.... all those stabilizer muscles are working! At the risk of looking more mediocre and amateur at ground drills than I already am, here's a drill I made up the other day. .
It's rough, but my mentality behind it was to train the shrimping movement while resisting weight in lieu of a training partner. Added in a Tukish Get Up at each end to return to a standing position. Followed up with bag slams and sprawls with a transition to mount.
