Good morning! Instead of just a video or selfie for #burntheturkey I thought I'd share some punctuations of my morning trip to the gym.
During the week I generally arrive around 6, unless it's Monday, then it's closer to 6:30. I fob in. Most of the time there's a couple other people here, but my hoodie's lonely this morning. I pick out my cardio machine, right now I'm on an elliptical kick, but it could be anything except a treadmill, my gait is too wide and I end up hitting the non-moving sides. I usually go for 25 minutes with a 5 minute cool down, that's enough to trip the recommended 30 minutes of elevated heart rate. I usually read and think an listen to music, lately it's been the Black Panther soundtrack, sometimes it's Tegan and Sara. I'm reading Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath, it's reminding me of Mad Max: Fury Road. Then I take a picture for values of a spreadsheet I'll always mean to start and will probably never fill. I end the workout and get my serotonin triggering vibration that says I'm doing what I can. I remove myself from the machine. I return to the world. Have a good day. .
