Pilot watches come in typically 2 main designs—Type A and Type B. On the right, Laco’s Type A dial, created in the 1940s for simple and highly legible reading, has been the long-standing favorite of pilot watch enthusiasts. The Type B on the left adds a little more interest with a more complicated minute track embracing an inner hour circle.
It’s hard to make a choice, as we love the traditional appeal of the Type A dial but dig the alternating lumed markers on the Type B. You wouldn’t go wrong with either choice though.
Which one is your favorite?
