(1963): Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor, age 16, in New York City. After winning the 1971 NBA Championship with the Bucks, he would be legally referred to as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and become the greatest scorer in NBA history (if you consider the greatest to be the man who scored the most points).
“Cap” dominated the league for his entire career with an unstoppable move, as the 7’2” center’s famous skyhook was virtually unblockable, and Kareem could shoot it with either hand.
Kareem has a very valid case as the greatest player to ever play in the NBA. His dominance and longevity remains unmatched in NBA history.
