Seating | Gorgeous seating arrangement under a fabulous petal marquee by @dpmarquees I had a lovely weekend back in June helping @weddingsbyjennahewitt in the glorious weather with fabulous suppliers
What is lovely about wedding stationery is that you can be as creative as you like. This is normally the first glimpse that your guests will have about the style, theme or colours of your wedding day.
My clients Anita & Michael, had shared lots of lovely memories all across London when they courting. Needless to say that wanted their tables named after London Underground Stations that had significant meaning to them.
So I designed a place cards in the shape of the tube sign and changed the colour to match their theme of Teal & Orange, then had these printed as cut outs. Then I designed them a seating plan that bought in their London Underground to the background. Whilst I don't do stationery, I do love having the opportunity to have a little dabble when my clients are open to ideas outside of the box.
What does your stationery say about your wedding day?
For day 12 of the #ukawpchallenge we are talking stationery. I feel fortunate to have worked with so many talented designers over the years.
One of whom is @whitecottageweddings who are phenomenal are interpreting my brief.
The green menu wrap and tag were designed for a last minute party last year. I love that when I explain what I want they take that brief and create something completely perfect!

When it comes to choosing your wedding venue go with your heart and trust your instincts.
That’s exactly what I did 14 years ago when I fell heads over heals for this stunning wedding venue & it’s new owners @moxhullhall.
A classic country hotel with elegant chic interiors and bespoke marquee.
The first time I went to view it however, was a totally different story! It was a building site going through major renovations but even through all the dust and rubble I could totally see just how amazing it was going to be — so much so I booked it there and then.
Scary considering the wedding was less than a year away!
Venue | The type of venue I love working with the most is a marquee... take this glowing beacon from a wedding I did back in 2016 in the grounds of a stunning Manor House The pure white canvas of the marquee contrasted beautifully with the rustic woodland surroundings
FAVOURITE VENUE - continuing the #ukawpchallenge today I’m talking about my favourite venue.
For me it’s not a venue but instead a marquee. The style doesn’t matter, for me it’s all about the intimacy you get by having a marquee on your own land. And when it’s I love nothing more than having all the sides open Given a choice would you select venue or marquee?
What a wonderful setting for an outdoor ceremony this is @moorhallweddingvenue.
I love the way the ghost chairs glisten in the sun.
This was a setting for a styled shoot which is to be featured on @theenglishweddingblog on 24th July so head over there and take a look at some more images.
Thank you to all suppliers involved in the shoot.
VENUE & MARQUEE
Well it’s certainly a good time to have a marquee wedding in this weather, albeit it could be said it may be a little too hot but it would be rude not to mention Sezincote House, my most recent wedding that offered THE most beautiful space for both civil ceremony and the grounds to put a marquee.
This beautiful venue offers a glass curved orangery that is studded with French windows that were all left open with beautiful flowers in between, it was absolutely stunning.
I'm so lucky to be able to work from home and in this weather from the garden!! I love my garden and it's been so lovely this summer to spend so much time out there.
We've always had quite a lot of wildlife in our garden. There are tons of birds, there's Perry the squirrel and now we've got a family of hedgehogs. It was Harry the Hedgehog until we realised there were 3 babies with him and that daddy hedgehogs don't stick around so now it's Henrietta
This is the view from my little bijoux office at the end of my little bijoux garden. It may be small but it’s a hive of activity with masses of butterflies chirpy birds and lots of lovely bumble bees coming to visit me. So I never feel lonely.
Don’t know about you - but for me, getting dressed for work and having my office away from the house gets me in the right mindset to tackle the wedmin along with my tasks for the day.
Shhhh..........🤫it also stops me watching ‘Loose Women’ on the telly
As you will know from previous posts, we don't have a fixed office. This means we can be really flexible with where and when we work. For example, if it's so hot that we feel like we're melting - we'll just move!
We love working at locations along the waterfront in Ipswich and there are lots to choose from. This was taken at @cultcafebar, a great place to enjoy a cuppa and catch up on wedmin.
ENTERTAINMENT in my parties tends to be wild and at times crazy. But for my weddings I’d say over 90% of them always want a phenomenal evening band.
This is one of their top priorities and they will ensure the band gets everyone dancing on the night! This band was at Keith and Marie’s wedding and were called @swayallstars photographer @kerrymorgan.photography
