So I know another dessert recipe! Y’all are probably going to think I don’t eat real food! But anyway I just love summer and using the grill so here is my recipe for Grilled angel food cake and brown sugar peaches and cream. I entered it in @food52 grilling competition. This is the first contest I have entered so fingers crossed! Also, please please please leave comments and suggestions below!

Grilled angel food cake and brown sugar peaches and cream

Makes: 4
Calories: 210 per one halved cake, 1/4 of whipped cream, and half of a peach
Ingredients
- 2 peaches
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon - 1/4 heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Angel food cake
Take the cakes from the previous post and prepare them. Cut each cake in half and grill for one minute on each side. Remove when brown sides are lightly browned.
Peaches
Mix two tbsp brown sugar with one tsp cinnamon.
Slice peaches in half, brush flat side with vegetable oil. Sprinkle each with a touch of cinnamon sugar mixture. Grill the peach with the flat side down for 5-7 minutes or until grill marks are apparent and peach is juicy.
Whipped cream
Mix together heavy whipping cream, one tbsp brown sugar, and two tsp cinnamon until stiff peak form.
Place cake, peach, and whipped cream on plate and garnish with cinnamon.

Hey y’all! So I’m new to Instagram and food blogging or whatever this is lol. But since dessert is my favorite meal, I thought it would be appropriate to share a recipe for some individual angel food cakes. I love angel food cake and it’s surprising low in fat and calories. Great paired with some berries and whipped cream.
Individual Angel Food Cakes
Makes two ramekin cakes
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 cup cake flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 egg whites
2 tablespoons sugar- plus some to coat ramekins
1/4 teaspoons cream of tarter
Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Spray two six ounce ramekins with baking spray and coat inside with sugar. Approximately 1 teaspoon each. In a small bowl combine confectioners sugar, cake flour and salt. In a medium bowl mix the egg whites, sugar, and cream of tarter. Mix on high until meringues form. Then fold the dry mix into the meringue until fully mixed. Pour the batter into the ramekins so that they are 3/4 of the way full. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Calories: 219 per cake

Early pre-bouldering dinner! Colorful spicy shrimp mixed with quinoa.

🥦egg and broccoli boiled for 8mins.
🦐stir fried garlic/onion/peppers with 1teaspoon avocado oil, add in frozen shrimps. after 3-5mins top up with chilli and preferable spices. lastly put some baby spinach well mixed for about 1min.
🌶️add some salt and pepper by your own preference and mixed some pre-cooked quinoa as a nutritious bonus.

I keep putting off my healthy eating with all the old excuses, I'm tired, there's too much chocolate in the house, I need to do a food shop for the healthy stuff, I want to test a new cake recipe, I'll start after the weekend, I need to get organised first .......... the list goes on, and honestly, I am boring myself. So here it is, Day 1 of eating my fruit & veg, exercising more and making healthy choices on a budget.
