Happy Birthday to my old man up in Heaven! Went out today lookin to see if I couldn't tag another White Sea Bass and sure enough if I didn't have one tempt my trigger finger. For those that don't know, they must be a minimum 28" in length and obviously judgement in the heat of the moment is important to ensure you don't shoot anything undersize. So went with the rule of thumb, played it safe and let my sashimi swim away haha it's what he taught me and that thought immediately popped into my head at the time. For those of you that have spent time in the water... you probably know. But freediving & controlling your breathhold while staying aware of your safety is one of the truest forms of meditation. All worries gone with the sole focus of ethically hunting these incredibly smart fish in their element. It has been an addiction for the last 20 years of my life. This picture is nearly 15 years old and the beauty of any sport is the more ya get out there... the more you will always improve your skills and technique.
Miss you more than ever pops! Cheers to everything you did for myself and everyone you touched along the way. As you already know, so many!
