Sunday morning thoughts. Plans. 🤓
People talk, moan, make golden plans to get where they wanna go with their life (in many areas - business, health, relationships, finances etc.) but that's where it ends - with the talk, no actual action - or short lived action. When I say 'people' - I'm 'people'. Guilty of this over here. 🙋♀️ We're flaky af, and a lot of us don't keep our word, especially to ourselves! We go around keeping our promises and obligations for everyone else and ours are bottom of the pile - we'll flake on those without a second thought. 🤦♀️ What happens when a friend constantly flakes and doesn't keep their word/promise? - they lose credibility/trust and we feel disrespected/undervalued by them. So what do you think we're teaching ourselves on a subconscious level when we do this to ourselves? Basically - that our needs matter less, we aren't important. We end up not believing our own BS anymore, and we develop a deep knowing that we won't/can't...belief and self-worth plummet!! I dare you to flip it over and commit to 2 weeks of keeping all promises and plans FOR YOU (not talking about promises to others here - most of us keep our promises to others, we wouldn't dream of letting THEM down). Show up, even when you really don't want to. Give yourself the same respect, overhaul your mindset. With each promise kept you will feel more capable, head strong & bad ass. YOU CAN AND WILL ACHIEVE THOSE GOALS! You have the power!
Finally, I'm done with talking about it, I'm actually doing it! Work in progress. But yes, I'm creating magic! 🎉
So today, self-care and prepping for the week are on the menu. But I also planned to clear out and organise the huge storage cupboard (dumping ground) in my hall. (I've had this on my to-do list since LAST NOVEMBER). Do I feel like doing in? No! I've had dialogue in my head this morning - procrastinating, justifying. But I'm going to do it. Because it feeds into the mindset that I'm busy creating. Its not about the cupboard, its about the message!💪
Commitment is doing the thing you said you were going to do long after the mood you said it in has left you.
Commit to yourself! 🙌 Discipline feels so good! 🤩
