M O V E M E N T: B A C K D A Y
I didn’t take any videos of my workout today but, as I was working out, I really started appreciating the fact that...shiiiiit, I can MOVE...period! And sometimes I take for granted that one simple action, that will soon be taken away from me for a short (😰) period of time!
My knees might make a couple of sounds or two😉but I can squat, lunge and get low to the ground to play with my godson yesterday! My thighs might be bigger than most, but I can deadlift, bench, and do leg extensions! My arms might be more flabby than muscular, for now, but I can overhead press, do a couple of pushups, hug my son, and swing a kettlebell!
Today I started to think about how I won’t be able to do those things for several, SEVERAL weeks and instead of being sad about it, I embraced the fact that I can do it RIGHT. NOW!
So this pic represents my appreciation of the body I have right.now, no matter how much of a body recomp I want. That goal will have to be put on the back burner until I heal completely and, mentally, I have to be okay with that! It’s not going to be easy, BUT, healing will be done!😌
