This is one of my favourite chest exercises because it incorporates a lot of chest and a lot of core, it's really good not only for building strength, but also stability and control which are important but overlooked aspects of a solid training program. One arm push-ups are one of those exercises that should be a staple of every workout program. A very important (and often overlooked) benefit of a one arm push-up is it's real life application. In real life we do a lot of one arm pushing movements even if we don't notice it, this exercise simply works the body the way the body wants to be worked. In nature there are hardly any movements that isolate a muscle in your body, and the one arm push-up as well as the normal push-up is one of those natural compound movements that our bodies like to, and are inclined to do. Remember though, to achieve the one arm push-up you need patience, practice, and persistence. The tricep extension is by far one of the best tricep exercises and puts a unique stretch on the tricep. No other tricep exercise can achieve this kind of stretch. Why is this stretch so important you might ask, well by stretching the muscle and having it work in a position it doesn't like to work from, you increase the micro tears that occur therefore forcing the muscles to rebuild bigger, and stronger than before. Once you've mastered the tricep extension you can take it even further and do a one arm tricep extensions which are EXTREMELY difficult. I suggest you incorporate these into your tricep routine if they aren't already in it, trust me you'll be sore like never before.

Day 3 of the @bodyrockofficial 1000 rep challenge.
Took @bodyrocktvseanlight outside today πŸ˜‚

My for arms were killing on the reverse curls, I've never done them before.
My form can be better on the Tricep dips but that combo I've never done before and it took a lot of concentration.

300 Reps today.

Day 2 & 1 also repeated before these as the #bodyrockers who have done this challenge would know.
Yes that's Immi going in and out of the doggy door at the start and trying to pull all the clean washing outside again.

Giving the legs a much needed rest but that doesn't mean the upper body can't take a beasting! Started a new programme this morning and it felt good (the guy behind me was less enthusiastic πŸ˜‚).
