BW is at 144lb this morning. Kinda stuck again as far as weight gain, but the relentless food intake is def helping!

You will achieve things you could NEVER in your wildest dreams expect to achieve.⁣⁣

From failing a 20kg bench press with no spotter.⁣⁣
& being laughed at by these 2 guys when i was in the weights area when i first started.⁣⁣
To representing my country internationally, winning national titles & breaking records.⁣
⁣⁣
It taught me consistency is one of the most unsexy things, but also one of the most important. Showing up when you don’t feel like it. Realizing and knowing it’s not all sunshine and rainbows but still showing up to the gym / in business because you have your eye on the prize.⁣⁣

It taught me the power of visualisation.⁣⁣
5 weeks out leading up to every competition, every night going to bed, i visualised what it would be like to squat the weight i wanted. No joke. I think that played a massive part of my success. The things that gave me an edge were the things i did outside of the gym & how that translated on the platform. Just like what’s going to give YOU an edge in business is who you’re BEING behind the scenes, and how that translates to your energy when you DO show up.⁣⁣

It taught me you have the ability to go further than you can EVER imagine if you put your mind to it.⁣⁣
That I was capable of achieving things i could literally never have imagined when i first started. Despite how crazy, far, unlikely your goals may be right now. In 2012 when I first picked up a barbell, i never imagined i’d be good enough to compete for my country & break national records. Then when I fell in love with the sport, and wanted so badly to be one of the best, part of me was convinced i’d never be good enough. But I fully fucking backed myself, showed up, and went further than 2012 me EVER would’ve imagined. ⁣⁣
Just like in biz. From going through the 9-5 motions to trying to land my first client wanting to go full time, thinking it was a pipe dream. To actually making it happen, travelling & stay at luxury hotels, & living in my dream city. ⁣⁣

All I did was fully back & trust myself with the decisions I made & actions I took.⁣⁣
And that’s all you need to do to get further than you will ever imagine✨

First time using new @cerberus_strength figure 8’s and they seem quite good. I got them a little larger to use for axle too so just need to get used to cranking them right on a normal bar but it seems easy enough.

The progression of my squats from my 1st meet May 2018 to my 3rd meet, IPL Worlds in November 2018.



First meet I barely knew what I was doing and picking attempts was so stressful for me plus the referees were calling EVERYONE on depth 🔴🔴🔴. I opened with 385 which I got, missed I think 402 on depth, went for 412 I believe my 3rd (shown) got it and went for I believe 418 my 4th attempt and they called me on depth. So overall proud of my first meet! Also I’d like to point out of was using a paper thing gym belt 🙃👏🏻



2nd meet was Nationals in Vegas and I apparently forgot how to listen to commands but was able to get my third attempt 468lbs!! Which I was very proud of!



Then my third meet came, I was sick all week before my meet which had me almost unable to eat at all. My third attempt is shown, 472 and honestly I should have had it, but I miss grooved and let those angels that we call loaders save me for the first time ever. I was upset, embarrassed and pissed off.



I have to say I’m blessed so far with such an amazing first year of powerlifting. I will end my very first year of powerlifting at the @kernusopen which I think is crazy impressive! •


My goals for the meet are to stay healthy, stay happy and stay FIERCE! I want to enjoy the moment and not let my competitive drive let me ruin an amazing moment! The competition is fierce so I can only do my best!
