Excuse the nakedness but I had to share this photo! Walking to the shower thismorning and caught a glimpse of my quads in the mirror! One yearish throwback!
The best thing about instagram for me imo is that it kinda works like a diary/ journal or what ever you wanna call it. Not that it can be used to calculate anything really the way I use it, but for fun :) Like a photoalbum πŸŽ₯ ・・・
Monday is #chestday right? Tried the same aproach as I did with squats yesterday. I usually train bench below 5 reps and do em kinda slow. So as promised, my tips.

1. Create a caloric defecit
By exercise (output) and food (input), eat a couple hundred calories below maintenance. This is seriously the only golden rule to losing weight. Slow and steady wins the race.

2. Don't undereat
Don't get your body used to 1200 calories. I don't know why it's the magic number, but SERIOUSLY JUST DON'T DO IIIT! You will see catabolism. You will probably rebound and gain extra fat post diet. So no fad diets!

3. Weights > Cardio
Lifting weights also burns calories. Plus, muscle eats calories while you're doing nothing. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn throughout the day. Pretty simple. Also important to note that if you're tracking your progress, use measurements and photos, as gaining muscle will increase your weight and therefore scale weight isn't always an accurate way to measure your progress.

4. Carbs are good for you
Don't ditch carbs. That's all I'm going to say about that.

5. Moderation
You don't have to deprive yourself of your favourite foods. You don't have to train twice a day. Moderation is key to consistancy. Consistancy is key to getting long term results.

6. Set performance goals
Focus and work toward your goals in the gym. You will reach your body goals as a result.
And lastly,

7. Just because someone on the internet said it doesn't make it true
Seriously.
There are articles promoting dangerously low calorie diets. Just like there are articles promoting calorie dense "superfoods". I don't know how they're even allowed to be published. So question everything. Do your own research. Ask professionals. Always keep learning.

I know it's #thanksgiving! I wanted to throw it back to competition day because I am so #thankful I have had this amazing journey! πŸ™πŸ’ͺ🌱 I was never fit or even active until a few years ago. πŸ™„I have always battled my weight and had to fight for every muscle gained and pound lost. #truestory
