Great things never come from comfort zones. I stepped right out of my comfort zone yesterday and now I'm heading to Sydney Australia on Tuesday for a photo shoot. You can do anything you put your mind to even if you don't feel good enough. You are much more
We started our Saturday with this delicious vegan meal made with love . I made mangu, kale salad, and roasted mushrooms with onions and peppers. I’m a happy camper when I can make something healthy from scratch that tastes good, it’s easy to make and doesn’t require any animal products. **
The hubby and I were chatting today about how people can be vegans and eat unhealthy. We see it all the time. Just because people are eating a vegan meal doesn’t mean it’s healthy. We still have to stay away from processed foods, read labels to avoid chemicals, preservatives, and artificial flavors in our food, and we still have to make sure our meals have lots of veggies. Our goal is to get people to eliminate the bad foods and add the healthy nutritious stuff their body needs. Don’t be fooled by the labels. We call ourselves vegans, plant based eaters, veggie lovers or whatever falls under the “no meat and dairy” category but at the end of the day we are just eating healthy foods...that means food made from scratch with real ingredients and made with love.
Speciesism [spe·cies·ism] noun: is the discrimination against or exploitation of non human animals, based on the assumption that humans are superior to and more important than all other species.
Speciesism is the reason we, as a species, enslave, torture and murder billions of animals every year for food, for clothing, for research purposes and for entertainment. -
Please be kind to all beings. Not just humans. And not just the pets we love. All animals are equal in the ways that matter. @albaparis #fuckspeciesism
