For a very long time, one of our favorite sushi restaurants is the moon. My first acquaintance with the moon restaurant was a long time ago when they had a moving bar that freshly made sushi was crossing the bar and the guests were just picking them up. you could tell the price by the plate color and you were charged in the end by the plates. it was a very good experience, I heard it was very popular in japan and I’m sad to say I didn’t find any place that keeps that lovely way of serving in Israel. Today the place is based only on waiters but the food is still great and has some very special dishes that are hard to find in Israel. The vegan options are a bit less than I would have liked but only if you are a regular. This time it was valentines day and we had to wait quite a lot for a spot on the bar. when we were set, we ordered:
Spicy Tofu – Tempura fried tofu, served with sauce of garlic, green onion, and chili (ask for the vegan option)
The tofu was very well coated with vegan tempura served hot and crispy as needed.
the sauce was spicy as promised and we liked it very much. I think you do need to ask for the vegan option.
