It is the essential Bombay burger (a common street food) which they serve at @mohallarestaurant in @d3 πŸ‘Œ For those who have never had it, it is a deep fried masala patty stuffed in a pav (the soft delicious white bun), swipe right for a close-up 🀀 Carbs in carbs? Yes please πŸ™ŒπŸ» And the best part - it’s πŸ’― vegan! The white bun and potato patty are egg free and dairy free πŸ™πŸŒ±

Home made burger by @noula.quest .Shop-bought veggie burgers are often filled with additives and quite expensive. You can make your own versions at home which can be frozen and then oven-cooked from frozen as needed. They can all be served with dips or as a filling for pittas or wraps. If is good to add a vegetable of some kind- mashed squash, carrot or sweet potato work really well- you can mash these from boiled or roasted vegetables.

Ingredients 400g tin chickpeas or beans such as borlotti, kidney or butterbeans, drained and rinsed 300g/10Β½oz cooked, mashed vegetables such as carrot, squash, potato, sweet potato or parsnip 1 garlic clove, crushed by an adult or with a garlic press 1 tbsp sunflower, vegetable or olive oil squeeze lemon juice pinch ground cumin, coriander or paprika, mild chilli flakes, to taste freshly ground black pepper 1 tbsp tahini (optional) 4 tbsp sesame seeds, breadcrumbs or crushed crackers (optional), for coating

Method Adult’s job: Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6.

Mash the beans or chickpeas as much as you can either with a potato masher in a bowl or with a hand mixer (supervised). Alternatively you could make the mix in a food processor if you have one.
Add the mashed vegetables and garlic and any herbs, spices or tahini that you want to use.
Mix well and the kids can taste and add lemon juice, spices or pepper to their taste.

The mixture then needs to be rolled into four burger-sized balls with wet hands, or make 12 smaller "falafels" - kids have the perfect sized hands for this. Flatten the balls slightly. If you like, you can coat them with sesame seeds, crushed crackers or breadcrumbs for extra crunch.

Place the baking tray in the oven and cook for 20-30 minutes, turning the burgers over midway through cooking. Allow to cool a little before serving

CAULIFLOWER SUSHI WITH THAI CHILI SAUCE 🍱 This is so delicious! And no fish πŸ™πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ˜πŸ˜‹ To make the cauliflower rice I’m using a food processor. To get it a bit stickier you can use some nut butter while mixing. I use a bit of tahin! Spread on a nori sheet. You can fill your nori sheets with literally anything you want. For mine I used cucumber, red cabbage, 1/2 avocado and a carrot. But you could also use celery, red bell pepper, sprouts or even mango and banana! Whatever you like! πŸ™ŠπŸŒ Roll them up and use a bit of water to close the nori sheets at the end.

RECIPE THAI CHILI SAUCE
1 cup tomatoes
1 cup orange juice or cold water
1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes
1 garlic clove
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp honey or maple sirup
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Mix all ingredients in a blender until a thin red sauce

BLOEMKOOL SUSHI MET THAISE CHILI SAUS 🍱 Dit is zΓ³ lekker! En geen vis πŸ™πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ˜πŸ˜‹ Ik heb rauwe bloemkool in een foodprocessor gedaan om de rijst te maken. Om het iets plakkeriger te krijgen kun je wat notenpasta gebruiken tijdens het mixen in de foodprocessor. Ik heb een beetje tahin gebruikt! Smeer de rijst uit op een nori vel. Je kunt je nori vellen met van alles vullen. Voor de mijne heb ik komkommer, rode kool, 1/2 avocado en een wortel gebruikt. Maar je kunt ze ook vullen met selderij, rode paprika, spruitgroenten of zelfs mango en banaan! πŸ™ŠπŸŒ Rol ze op en gebruik een beetje water aan het einde om hem dicht te plakken.

5 years ago I got diagnosed with Lyme disease. I was bedridden for 3 years, then a few months better and then I collapsed again 1.5 years ago.

With this instagram I share my diet and holistic healing because they are a big part of my healing πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

My diet always felt like a punishment. Gluten free, histamin intolerance, fructose intolerance, cow's milk intolerance and chicken egg intolerance. I could no longer eat this by my allergies and no longer that. Eczema is a big problem for me.

Fortunately this has been completely changed by Medical Medium information and his books! He showed me that food is fun and not annoying. In February 2018 I bought his first book and it did me so much good. His information is amazing and life changing πŸ™πŸΌ

I started eating only fruits and vegetables in June 2018, following @medicalmedium protocols and his amazing information about how to heal chronic diseases.

I love my diet now and I want to share this healing food. I no longer have fruit sugar fear. Fruit is super super healing and I am now enjoying fruit so much. Drinking celery juice every morning and little to no fat to support my liver. The detox is real πŸ˜‚ but I love it. My body is healing. Thank you Anthony William!

I love gingerbread almost as much as I love chocolate, who is with me? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ And who said it has to be Christmas to have it? πŸ€” This delicious gingerbread cupcake is not only vegan but also oil free! I wasn’t sure how it would turn out with no oil/butter and no egg substitute but I couldn’t believe how moist it was, thanks to the apple sauce in the recipe! This is the gingerbread cake recipe from @thevegan8 (but I made it into cupcakes) and I made a frosting out of blended coconut cream, dates and gingerbread spices, topped with some chocolate cookie crumbles πŸ˜‹ Guilt free and delicious - starting the year off right πŸ™

I finally checked out the vegan menu at @rondalocatellidubai in @atlantisthepalm and it did not disappoint! With over 40 vegan items on their menu (they apparently have the largest vegan menu in a non-vegan restaurant in Dubai), vegans ain’t missing out on nothing πŸ™πŸŒ± I shared a sun-dried tomato pizza and mushroom tagliatelle with my sis and both were delicious πŸ˜‹ Their bread basket is also entirely vegan πŸ‘ (which is rare nowadays in Dubai with milk powder making an appearance in most breads these days). I have had way too many desserts this past week because of the holidays so I didn’t try out their vegan desserts (yes plural - they have a few on there) but I will definitely be back to check them out πŸ˜‹πŸŒ±πŸ‘Œ
