A smoothie bowl a day keeps the mind at bay
Eating colourful and nutritious food (and enough of it!!!) is not only good for our internal body functions, but our mind too.
Seratoinin (commonly referred to as the 'happy hormone') is created in our gut. If we contantly feed our gut processed food, we are going to expecience a whole lot of negative emotions which can affect our mood for days, weeks or months. If we eat nutrient dense food for majority of the time, we will feel so much more lively and happier.
We can definitely choose what we eat, but never restrict yourself of something you truely want to eat or experience the taste of. Like I said, we should eat a majority of colourful nutrient-dense foods but it is also important to be flexible and have space to eat 'soul food'. ☆
