The motive of the video installation Wildlife are black and white photographs
dating from the early twentieth century that document bizarre scenes of trapped
wild animals. It suggests the destructiveness of repetition. The photographs document human nature, its absurdity, its separation from the very nature due to the complex relationship between captivity and freedom, domination and submission. Here, by processing these photographs, through the montage procedure of repeating frames I re-animate these scenes by “lending” them time and movement, placing them in circular compositions.
