We never know the exact composition of these vintage pieces, which means that the colors we develop absorb & take to the fibers differently based on whether they're hemp, linen, cotton or a blend of all three.

It's not an exact science, and other entrepreneurs would call us crazy to build a design business that's not scalable or that has such an element of surprise in our resources... but it's this discovery that we live for. We love that no two projects and no two products that we design are ever alike.

The Christmas tree and garland are all done! Well I’m still waiting for the tree topper to come in the mail but other than that ... it’s done! I decorated the tree with vintage 1940s reproduction Shiny Brite ornaments by @christopherradkoco. I also have a few vintage ornaments on the tree too. My dream would be to have a tree full of vintage ornaments but I have to say this one is pretty perfect. I also love the new tree that we got from @twinkly.smart.decoration this year. It was so easy to put up and you can control all the lights from an app on your phone! How cool is that? A high tech tree with vintage style ornaments are obviously a perfect combo! In other news, did you guys see the amazing moon last night? We had snow on the ground so it was an incredibly bright and clear night. So bright that I saw and heard coyotes howling and fighting in the trees behind our yard. It was so scary! The good news is that moon should be even better tonight! It’s the last full moon of the decade and it’s they are calling it The Cold Moon. Apparently the best time to see the moon is tonight December 12 at 12:12 am. Set your alarms and enjoy the Cold Moon light! 🌕
