Hi 👋 I’ve been a little quite over here, We just got back from 2 beautiful weeks camping in Denmark and Margret River, I feel super relaxed and happy, thank you sun, sleep ins and reading books in my deck chair ☀️🏕🏖
I have a large number of friends having babies in the next couple of weeks, like an unusually high number 😂So I made a big batch of Nappy rash cream or ‘Baby Booty Balm’ which sounds cuter.
The key ingredients are:
•Shea butter which nourishes and moistures the skin and is anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory which is great in a nappy cream as it fights of yeast and helps to heal nappy rash quickly and safely.
• Zinc oxide which helps to protect by repelling water so a wet nappy does not cause irritation.
•Beeswax because it’s an amazing moisturiser and also fights bacteria.
•The oils I used are Lavender and Roman chamomile for their soothing and calming properties and Tea Tree as it’s a powerful antiseptic.
125 Fractionated coconut oil
70g coconut oil
30g Shea butter
30 zinc oxide
15 drops lavender
2 drops Roman Chamomile
3 Tea tree
I used a double boiler to melt the coconut oils, shea butter and beeswax and then stirred in the zinc and oils.
I’ve used this recipe on my little Alyse and it’s been great, just as good as any other cream I’ve used with the peace of mind knowing it’s low tox and safe 👍🏻 .
