This Indian desert fox puppy was about 3-4 weeks old. While he was old enough to venture out of his den and play when the parents weren't around, he depended entirely on parents for food. He was also at an age when he had just graduated from milk to eating insects, lizards and rats that his parents brought when they visited the den. This is him checking to see if mom was carrying a snack in her mouth, as she often did. After he had his fill of milk, of course.
