#neverending #runstreak Day 201: Tonight, I went to REVIVE Church's Christmas party at Honor Coffee at The Commons in Federal Way. I was going to get in more miles, but due to traffic and my being tired from work, I didn't have time to get in more than a mile. Actually, I've got all the time in the world. I just chose to the Christmas party instead of running further. I started out by walking the perimeter of the inside of the mall. As I was doing so, I noticed a security guard watching me. When I used to be a couple card-carrying mall-walker at South Hill Mall, it seems as though I read or heard somewhere that mall-walking is discouraged while the mall is open. So when I noticed a small crowd of security guards converging off to one side while the one who spotted me earlier was looking directly at me, I simply carried on, a little faster and focusing straight ahead. I was even rehearsing what I would say if they stopped me. "I KNOW that mall-walking during open hours is discouraged. I KNEW, WHILE I was doing it, that walking the mall (as in fact I WAS DOING) was WRONG. Yet, I DID it ANYWAY. What's a guy to do? I need SOMETHING to confess when I get to church at 7!" When I got back to the front door, I went outside and ran a half-mile. I finished right as Pastor @joshheadleyofficial was holding the door open for me. So I stopped my running apps and went inside. It was an AWESOME Christmas party! I was all into being a loner at my own table in the back, but I ended up going to the front and playing a game anyway, "Christmas Fishing" was the name of the game. It was me and three others playing. We bit down on a short wooden dowel, which had a string tied to a candy cane. The object was to be the first one to hook all four of the canes sticking off our side of the table, all at once. I won and my prize was a Starbucks gift card. Thanks for putting me on the spot so I couldn't say no to playing that one, @marsflannery There were other games going on, but I just sat at my table and snacked on the food that a lady from our church made and brought for the party. All in all, it was an AWESOME party and I'm GRATEFUL that I went! On to the next!
