💧I was inspired by @keto_head to do a 7-day water only fast. I started on Sunday, 15 July at midnight and will go until Sunday, 22 July at midnight. I’m almost 48 hours in and I feel fantastic!

I’m still going to stick to my normal training schedule with bodybuilding in the AM and Crossfit in the PM.

WATER FAST DAY 3! 💧 today was super-easy fasting wise, but super-hard life wise. I lost my flat keys, had a row with my mum, and wanted to rage eat everything! But i resisted thank god, because i wasn’t hungry in the slightest, and after i talked it all out with a friend i felt loads better. I love that food is not an option and it’s forcing me to find other ways to deal with my feelings rather than stuff them down with Oreos. Roll on Day 4!

Which one is better for healing, detoxification, weight loss, self improvement, and overall positive change in lifestyle?
I've done both, and I will give my testimony.
-what we have to consider is our current situation in our current world. -we don't live in a pristine world anymore. After the industrial and chemical revolutions we have too many chemicals and toxins in the environment, and hence in our bodies. This makes detoxification even more important. But which way is better. Well I've found that the juice feast is much superior considering our current toxic world because the nutrients in juice help bind to the toxins and carry them out of the body, as opposed to the water fast, which does not have the nutrients, and the organs simply get overwhelmed by the unnatural amount of toxins accumulated on the body, therefore making the water fast potentially dangerous. -even after 3 years of detoxifying, and eating organic food, I was still not able, or willing to go past day 4 of water fast, and the benefits of a water fast start at day 4. But I easily did a 30 day juice feast. -Now it's important to understand that when it comes to a fast, the length of time is the most important. The longer the fast, the more healing and regenerative benefits. I assume that about 1 in 100,000 people would be able, or willing to do a 30 day water fast, but I bet anyone can, given the proper instructions, do a 30-90 day juice feast. -Now it's important to note that a 30 day water fast is unfeasible to most people, firstly because of the danger factor, but secondly because most people will not be able to take a 60 day vacation from life, as water fast incapacitates a person. On the other hand during a juice feast, not only the person is fully active, but also they are more productive because of all the liberated energy, the increase of biophotonic life energy, the rapid weight loss, and the toxins leaving the body.
-another point to consider is that the water we have today is toxic, and the filtered water is dead, devoid of any of the minerals present in spring water that we would normally drink 100s of years ago before the chemical and industrial revolutions.

Well, shoot! I broke my fast way earlier than I thought I would, at about 41 hours. I realized I wanted to have energy to work on things today, because I literally could not move off the floor. But I know if I would have stuck to my fast by just resting, I would eventually have more energy than ever before! But all is still well. My main focus was to gain more clarity on how to begin my new YouTube channel, and I did just that. I know I will fast again, and this dry fast was a great exercise in awareness. I did find it hard not let myself spiral into binge eating when I broke my fast. I started with water, coconut water, some coconut meat, pickled jalapeños, and a plum. But I was turned off by food really quickly once I drank some cooked beet/carrot broth that felt like acid in my stomach! And it had a strange metallic taste...🤔 Despite all the eating, I also was connected to something more stable than before that I can’t really explain. I felt stronger, and like I could connect more with the freedom that comes with choosing not to eat. So I’m back to a new square one: meaning, I am back to where I started with a little more perspective gained. A new loop in the spiral of ascension. I may need to find more balance and have more fruits and juices for a bit, and maybe some flexibility is still okay 😊The ultimate goal is never just not eating. It is the awareness we gain along the way, even when we get sidetracked. Who knows... maybe I will jump into another fast sooner than I realize. Much love ~💟Alana

Vandfasten er stoppet. 6 dage klarede jeg. Jeg har haft det super godt alle dage, lige på nær dag 4, hvor jeg var meget træt og dermed også droppede min daglige løbetur. Varmen gjorde det svært i dag, og jeg brød derfor fasten - med nektariner 😃

Jeg har oplevet en god del heling rundt omkring på kroppen. Jeg elsker faste - der er altid ting og sager, der heler, som ikke engang kan hele (eller i hvert fald tager lang tid) på en normal frugtbaseret kost.

For the past month I have been suffering from leg cramps which can usually be taken care of with a potassium/magnesium supplement & stepping up my hydration. Lately though, those simple fixes aren’t working.at.all! Over the last week the pain has quickly progressed from aching only at night in my legs to every inch of my body (even my fingers & toes) and all day! Talk about a pain! Ha!
Along with the muscle & joint pain, I have also gained 10 of the 18 lbs back that I had previously lost on my Keto journey with little to no change in my diet. Something was not right for sure! My body needed some serious detoxing! So I started researching more on the different types of fasting. Several days ago a trainer that I follow, @daniellenatoni and her husband started a water fast. Her results have been amazing! She recommended listening to @bengreenfieldfitness podcast where he discusses multiple types of fasting with Dr. Dan Pompa. If you have ever wondered or thought fasting might be something you would like to try, I strongly encourage you to listen to this podcast. Both Ben & Dr Pompa’s information & advice was just what I needed to decide which fast to start and I am now on hour 13 of a WATER ONLY fast! YUP! water only! Im ready to feel better & I’m positive my body was telling me I needed to push the reset button!

Yes y'all I'm on day 5 of my water fast. Today is truly the best I have felt on some real. My energy is awesome. I'm craving are completely gone. My mind is getting there no anxiety. No sadness. After a 3 day water-fast I feel completely free of inflammation and given that 90% of diseases are said to come from inflammation that can’t be a bad thing. My body and mind seemed to have reset themselves completely which leads me to ask the question: what matters more, what you put in your body - or what you don’t?

Water fast is done! 82+ hours. I honestly feel like I could have done another day, but I was missing my coffee☕️. I had no side effects👍. No headaches, cramps, or dizziness. A little low on energy at volleyball last night but it was HOT in there 🏐. We won all 3 games BTW 😊

Normally I tip the scales at about 145-148lbs. Due to all the “partying” over the weekend (heavy, dehydrated, raw gourmet foods), I weighed in at 152lbs today!! MONDAY feels when you aren’t hungover from the weekend 🙌🏻 and I’ve started my 72hr water fast. I’m 12hrs in and my mind is definitely wandering to food... mind over matter 🤯 I know that the first 24hrs will be the hardest 🙄 I’m holding myself accountable and will post my results on Wednesday eve #72hourwaterfast

Did a little bit of a mind/body experiment over the last two days, I wanted to fast longer than I have done before, which was about 40 hours I think. My target was 60 hours.
My first day was alright, I didn't eat breakfast and went for a long 40km ride to try and kick-start the fasting process, the rest of the day went pretty easily, and I made sure to stay properly hydrated in the 30 degree heat.

The next day I felt totally lethargic and drained, to be honest, concentration was difficult and all I wanted to do was lie down with the headaches I was getting, exercise didn't even enter my head.

On the third day I woke up feeling great and I wasn't even hungry anymore, I definitely feel like I could have carried on, but I've got plans for the next two days involving heavy exercise so I can't risk that while fasting unfortunately, definitely want to give it another go for a longer time!
I was 78.7kg when I started the fast.
Now I am 74.2kg.

But this was not about weight loss, more about healing and giving the body a respite from the constant food digestion so it can concentrate on other things.

Broke my fast on watermelon this morning and nothing has ever tasted so good!

Monsoon onset began with the month of Ashaadha: and a Navaratri, that signals seasonal transition in nature. 16th July marks summer solstice,the official Sun transit in Cancer to the Southern Hemisphere as per the Hindu Luni solar calendar. Fasting during Navaratri is advisable as a clean up of last season to arrive into the next season with a clean dosha(body humour) slate. 173.8 lb: A two day water fast followed up by a 24k run around Westwood lake and a swim. A total loss of 9 pounds, in the span of a couple days. Surely I’ll gain a bit back once I eat, but I’ll keep a few off. I’m going to try and incorporate extended fasting into my weekly regiment until I achieve my desired results. Extended fasting days will be fri,sat,sun if I can manage to pull off the big three. The problems I’m running into as of today is light headedness and slow recovery surely from the lack of nutrition. Along with short temper towards people..guess you could say I’m hangry. When I get temperamental with other people I need to just take a moment and reflect, to tell myself that’s not who I am and that’s not what I’m about. Ultimately if I say or do something hurtful to another person I always and go regretting it after. But alas some people there really are assholes and it can’t be controlled, however my behaviour and the way I act towards them can. Also if you have scars, stretch marks own that shit! Let it be a constant reminder of how far you’ve come.
