Morning rituals ~ what’s yours?
I used to think morning rituals just fell into place because we got, we did what we had to before heading off to work, and BAM morning ritual created ♀️. .
It’s not until I filled my mornings with intentional and meaningful activities that I discovered the true meaning, and true benefit, of having a morning ritual. .
For me, what I do of a morning sets up my whole day. If I’m late and rushed and I skip out on certain habits, I feel rushed the entire day, and almost a little incomplete. Some days, the rush is unavoidable but I try my best to make most days slower and filled with morning rituals that brighten my day. .
Some of my favourite ways to bring in the new day include: morning workouts - whether it’s in the gym or outside, I always make sure I can see the sky to watch the dawn sky. It’s my FAVE music - for me, it can be a slow or fast song, as long as it sparks some emotion, it brightens my day! gratitude - sneaking 5-10mins of deep thought or slowed breathing makes you extremely grateful to welcome in a new day. I’m not an expert at meditation, but the slower thoughts and breaths are my form of meditation nutrition and supplements - whether I’m fasting that morning or not, I always have a herbal tea and take my 3 go to supplements: zinc, magnesium and probiotics smiles and love - I don’t understand how anyone can wake and be grumpy you’ve just been given another day to live life, what’s there to be grumpy about? ♀️ I try to make sure I send good vibes around the house and ALWAYS kiss my husband goodbye and wish my family a good day. It takes nothing extra to be kind and happy, why not spread it around! .
It may not be scientific fact, but for me, opening the day with nourishing rituals makes the biggest different in the world. What’s your morning rituals? : @larileonte - some morning motivation
