I had such a beautiful conversation with a friend today about taking risks and why we tend to hold back on what it is that we want out of life..⠀

And what we discussed really hit home for me:⠀

It isn’t about the growth or change we are afraid of.. it isn’t the possible outcomes or failure or the opinion of others. ⠀

It all comes down to the amount of choices we have and deciding which direction is the RIGHT direction..⠀

Yes, we ALL want to evolve, grow, and prosper. But we also ALL want to feel safe, seen, heard, and understood.⠀

Taking risks doesn’t always leave room for being understood or comfortable.. and that can be really fucking hard to sit with. ⠀

Every time we CHOOSE to step up, to step in fully to what it is that we want, it’s a risk. ⠀

But where we get lost is when we don’t allow our intuition to guide the moments after we decide. ⠀

Because it’s easier to just hold ourselves to a lower standard to fit in than it is to be wildly uncomfortable following that dream that nobody else seems to understand (ps. It’s none of their effing business)⠀

The beautiful thing about life, my friend.. is that you will always have the choice. To bet low or go ALL IN on yourself. ⠀

There will always be risks in life. But there will also always be reward. All it takes is a shift in focus inward.⠀

Be willing to be the one you take the most risks on. Know that out of every single choice you have, YOU are the best one.⠀

Trust your gut.⠀
Trust your guidance.⠀

Think essential oils are a “new fad”? 🌱

Go read through some scripture (from over 2000 years ago) and count how many times essential oils are mentioned, directly or indirectly. Spoiler alert: it’s over 1000 times!! This is one of my all time favourite things about essential oils : knowing that they are the original, God-made design. That God was thinking of us even when He created the plants : to look beautiful and bring joy to us that way, but also by giving the plants actual therapeutic properties to support our bodies in SO MANY different ways! It blows my mind to think about the reality that people have been using plants like this for literally thousands of years! They were useful then, and they are useful now!

Lots of companies are hopping on the bandwagon, because more and more people are starting to recognize the incredible gift essential oils are! That being said, just be aware that most companies cut corners when making their oils. Because if you cut corners and only put 10% of actual pure essential oil in the bottle and just fill the rest with a synthetic, man-made filler you can make wayyyy more oil and pocket wayyyy more $$$. Make sure you choose a company that has their own farms + grows their own plants + distills their own essential oil, so you actually know you’re getting the essential oil as God intended and not as man has tried to recreate!

I love that Young Living designs this ancient oils of scripture kit, with specific oils chosen that are mentioned countless times all throughout scripture! Seriously so cool to read and be able to smell what you are reading about, from over 2000 years ago ✨

In my early twenties I began practicing Buddhism after hitting rock bottom with my own suffering. Prior to this I spent my life hustling for worthiness - and doing everything I could to avoid pain. Buddha taught his Noble Truth’s: there is suffering in this life...& the cessation of suffering. Having that pain normalized, liberated me that very moment. Since that moment, I have spent my life addressing my habitual resistance to suffering. The moment I can remember to surrender & accept this pain, strengthens a whole new habit. 🧘🏻‍♀️.

BEFORE:
▪️1 day post op from removing a tumor from my spine
▪️In the ICU from my artery tearing open and bleeding too much. Also monitoring an aneurism
▪️Waiting to find out if I had cancer (thank goodness it was benign)
▪️A week since being “diagnosed” with celiac disease
▪️A few weeks diagnosed with food allergies to gluten, dairy, soy, corn, nuts, sesame, eggs & shellfish
▪️Constant burning nerve pain throughout my body
▪️Unbearable stomach pain every time I ate
▪️Malabsorption of vitamins (iron and b12)
▪️Histamine/chemical reactions to almost everything I ate or drank and even to IV vitamins
▪️Temporary paralysis in my right arm and hand from surgery lasting 6+ weeks
▪️Vertigo every time I moved my head or layed down
▪️Horrible brain fog
▪️Lifelong migraines became more frequent
▪️Chronic sinus issues worsened
▪️Insomnia
▪️Anxiety and depression (I thought I was dying and was scared to eat)
▪️Barely able to take care of myself never mind my 3 month and 3 year old
▪️Inflammation and joint pain everywhere
▪️Daily visual disturbances - seeing shapes, floaters, rainbows, distorted and blurry vision
▪️Chronic dry eye
▪️Daily endometriosis pain
▪️Permanently swollen lymph nodes in my neck
▪️Tinnitus
▪️Exclusively nursing my baby who was allergic to formula
▪️Discovered white lesions all over my brain that Doctors thought could be MS

I could go on for hours. It was the worst I’ve ever felt in my life. I prayed for it to be 6 months down the road in hopes I would be feeling better. I didn’t know how I could possibly go on like that every day

BEFORE TREATMENT:
❌Following a paleo /AIP diet
❌No nightshades and a fruit fear especially to high histamine foods
❌Multiple doctors appointments every week
❌Weekly B12 injections
❌Bi-weekly IV bags
❌Weekly bloodwork

❌Thousands $ spent on doctors, testing and supplements
❌Was told to accept I could feel like this for the rest of my life

Sometimes it hits the weekend & I get all giddy because I know my hubs coming home (ok, more like all the time) 😬😬😬 I start thinking of all the things I want to cook for him...Do I want to make Coq au Vin, Do I want to make Braised short ribs & an amazing kale salad, do I want to make Pasta or maybe some soup or do I want to make.........”Oh, you get the point!” 😉

I used to only #DREAM of having the “know how” in the kitchen and now it feels like a dream come true. 🙌🏻

Happy #familyfriday 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 We love helping families recover together. The Jimenez family has been seeing us for about a month now. Jazmine (blue hoodie) injured her ankle cheerleading and has been doing the hyperbaric oxygen chamber combined with cryotherapy. She was able to bounce back quicker without the need of physical therapy! Just amazing! ❄️☀️

[GLOW UP]

I got the biggest compliment a few days ago when my friend @guacnsoul said to me, “how do you seriously not have any pores?” After laughing {cause I do} and loving on her, we talked about it. I said:

• Stay out of the sun and [always] wear SPF. I always mix dew skin in with my tint skin, to get that spf in. 🌞

• tons of water (100 oz most days) 💧 and you always need half of your body weight in water.

• Intermittent Fasting - when you give your body a break, it thanks you back.
