More exciting Plum news to report!! This beautiful and incredibly kind yogini has officially joined our tribe! Meet Alexa 💜 a San Fernando Valley native, she was introduced to the practice of yoga by taking classes with her mother in 2014. Wanting to expand her knowledge about self care, she attended a yoga retreat to Bali in 2015. This experience changed her view on life forever. Yoga became a daily routine even while pregnant. After having her daughter, she knew she wanted to set an example of “do what you love and there is always room to learn”.
In 2017, Alexa took her 200 hour teacher training at YogaWorks Woodland Hills. There, she learned the benefits of loving the Self, individual poses, purpose and uses of props, and injury care and prevention.
Alexa is a committed Yoga Instructor with the desire to inspire students to be the best version of themselves. She has a strong belief that there is always something new to be learned, whether it be from an elder, a colleague, a new born baby, or anything in between including the Self. She's enthusiastic about spreading the knowledge of love, confidence, and self-care. Embracing each individual with respect no matter what chapter they are in life. Her classes are meant to build flow, strength, confidence and connection to the Self.
Aside from yoga, Alexa is a vascular ultrasound technician at USC Keck Medical Center with a love for being out in nature like camping with her family and hiking with her dogs, Yogi and Sunday. She loves to spread word about being environmentally responsible. She also has an etsy business with her sister called Leila B Handmade, where they make all handmade gifts like wire wrapped crystal jewelry, rings, mugs, and custom handwritten signs.
