Smashed some PBs today for the last day of this training cycle 🔥🔥🔥🔥 225kg squat for a double. My best all time 1RM was 222.5kg back in November! Things were not looking great for ly squat a couple of weeks ago until i changed my technique a little to be a tiny bit more upright and its really paid off! Admittedly, the depth is a bit hit or miss though! But ive seen higher squats given 👀👀 160kg for a 2.5kg PB 3RM

245kg deadlift for a double! 245kg was again my 1RM back in November.
All these for singles would have been a 630 total which is my best comp total to date!
Things are looking realllllllll goooooood!

Big shoutout to @beverleyjr and @innerstrengthuk who will both be competing at the British bench press championships tomorrow. It’ll be an emotional day for Sab, who’s returning to the platform after 2 Achilles surgeries in 2017. Both have had less than ideal preparation but such is life and the obstacles it throws at us. ======================================

1. You're Drinking your Calories…

You don't need me to tell you that Coke is a poor choice, in fact a can is roughly 300 calories, choose diet drinks (forget the bullshit you read about aspartame, its fine), a can of diet coke is 2 calories…

You do the maths….

2. You're eating back your exercise calories…

You go to the gym, you burn 800 calories, so you think you'll have that pizza, except, that 800 calories you burned. More like 200! Fitness bands are great, but they are fairly inaccurate, and people also tend to overestimate how hard they work in the gym or how many calories they are actually burning… So, 200 out, and a pizza load in…

3. You're not eating enough Protein…

Protein is the most filling of the macro nutrients, if your dieting you're gonna be hungry, eat more protein and manage your hunger better, less cravings, less binges, more fat loss, oh and it has the added bonus of helping you recover better, maintain muscle mass, and generally perform better..

When it comes to fat loss, calories are king, you won't lose fat without being in a calorie deficit, its simple, maths and thermodynamics…
