Spurs Grade: B
They get an excellent mid-range shooter in Demar Derozan, and also a 2019 Protected Pick. Derozan is definitely a solid player but can suddenly disappear in the clutch sit that’s one thing San Antonio loses in the end of the trade. Derozan also isn’t an all around player, so he needs to improve on both ends of the court even if it means he needs shoot less. I think Pop can bring out the best in Derozan, but I’m just not sure if we’ll see it happen though.
Raptors grade: A
They get a Top 5 Player in Kawhi Leonard, who’s an outstanding player that has been greedy the past year. But if the rumors are true, that Kawhi is warming up to Toronto, then Toronto wins the trade for sure. They also get a great defender in Danny Green, who is also a decent shooter as well. Toronto may not be the best team in the East, but they have a better chance at the Finals than before with Derozan.
Who do you think wins this trade?
