Week 5 is in the books...and I seriously wouldn’t have made it this far if it wasn’t for my accountability with these ladies! It has seriously been the missing link to my results so far! Just when it gets quiet there’s a cheer from one of the girls...or encouragement from another to keep pushing! So apparantly it's #nationalrelaxationday Who knew?? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ And who made up all these "days" anyway?? Not that I have any problem getting behind this one! Especially since it happens to be one of THREE rest days for the fitness program I'm currently doing! So today the girls and I rode bikes, went to the water park, and picnicked. I packed this Uh Mazing bowl of summery goodness. Watermelon from my mom's garden, cucmber, avocado, fresh mint, and feta with a drizzle of lemon juice and EVOO. So so good y'all. But don't let this healthy pic fool ya, we're totally hitting the snow cone stand later. #becausesummer I love that this fitness program is all about enhancing your life, not consuming it. 3 rest days. 40 minute or less workouts. And treats are actually included in the nutrition plan. Now that's something I can actually sustain!

Late night workout.
I did NOT wanna workout today.
Woke up this morning feeling like craaaap .
And all day i had just been in a super funk not motivated at all. Why, because i didn’t workout this morning πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ happens every time.
But then i decided I’d wait for my husband since he’s been working out alone after work.
Team work makes the dream work and it was def more fun to do it together.

And just like that, we are 1/2 way thru our program. I say WE because it’s not just Ryan and I, it’s our whole squad of ladies and a few couples who have been cheering each other on for the last 4 weeks!! I’m already feeling stronger, fitter, more alert, clear headed and more confident!! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ I asked the squad yesterday, when was the last time you finished something you started? For me, it was a 21 day program shortly after I found out I was pregnant almost a year ago!! THIS is already my longest commitment in a year!! πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ It’s partly due to the flexibility of the program and the simple nutrition plan- BUT a HUGE factor has been the community, which has kept over 20 of us accountable and pushed us all to stay committed. πŸ’ͺ🏼 I may be the β€œcoach” but I need the support and accountability just as much as anyone else!! Especially during the postpartum journey, you feel me mama?! For me- THIS is the secret sauce. Not the program, or the food, or the shake, or the work out clothes.... it’s PEOPLE. I am super excited to share my 4 week progress. I love so many things about this program. It was a mental shift for me for sure, but the results speak for themselves. Down 8.5 inches! I HAVE NOT starved myself, I HAVE NOT worked out longer than 40 min a day, I HAVE NOT worked out 7 days a week.
I HAVE gotten my life back. I HAVE fueled my body with wholesome food. I HAVE pushed myself in the 4 days I do workout. I HAVE an amazing trainer and accountability group that helps me.

TBT.... me about 12 years ago. I got a β€œcompliment” today. Someone I know from Work commented on how I’d lost so much weight and kept it off. She mentioned when I started at the hospital I was β€œheavy”. It got me thinking πŸ€”. I was almost 45lbs heavier!!! 😳. I took control of my health about 10 years ago and I haven’t looked back!!! A lot of days aren't easy, to be honest! I'm swollen, achy, crazy fatigued, and don't like how slow the process is! Where there used to be ab's, there isn't anymore! 😜😜 But I workout for all new reasons these days! When i first heard about this program i was like nope πŸ™…πŸ½β€β™€οΈβ£
I was not going to do a program focused on lifting weights because i was scared I’d bulk up and look like a dude 😳⁣
BUT after 3 weeks of staying consistent on my workouts and the meal plan I’ve done the opposite. (See my last post for progress pics) ⁣
I’ve slimmed down and now I’m starting to really tone up. ⁣
It’s so amazing what your body is capable of if you’re willing to make the commitment to your health & fitness. ⁣

My family and I participated in the St Jude Run on Saturday. I ran 11.8 miles and our satellite run raised $116,000! It was hot and humid, but my sister and I exceeded our original goal of 5-10 miles. It's such a life changing experience and knowing how much this fundraiser helps the kids and families of St Jude really makes it worthwhile! It’s Monday night, and today was filled with all things a crazy Monday entails. .

Sleeping in later because my weekend schedule was insane, my toddler stripping down and pooping in her crib (it was gross, but funny), grocery shopping, dr appointment, and dinner with friends. However, I did NOT skip this part of my day. .
.
I had to prop my arms up on my knees just to take this picture. My at-home workouts have given me better results than a gym trainer ever did, and I look forward to sweating it out because the pay off is BIG! .
.
My payoff isn’t just to have chiseled arms and abs, but it’s being able to lug my toddler around, boost a patient in their bed and not hurt my back, having better posture, sleeping better, my clothes fitting better and not to mention the mental benefits feeling like a complete badass after doing tricep pushups!
