The thing about yourself you find most confusing, most unfit for kingdom work according to those around you, is often the very thing Jesus will use. ~ @phyliciamasonheimer
This week, a friend of mine (thank you, @lifestartsnowsc!) shared a great article by Phylicia Masonheimer about women who are driven, confident and often labeled, to their chagrin, as "intimidating." The quote above is from this piece (which I will link to in my bio: @lkagencysc). The piece speaks into the unwanted insecurities that such labels and misperceptions often bring.
So many of my sweet dear friends (and instagram buddies) are tremendously successful and/or driven women--I'm sharing this bit here with you, in the hope you'll go read the entire thing and be encouraged, just as I was.
Continue to strive to be like Jesus and live into the gifts He gave you. He didn't give you your talents for you to be half hearted and timid about them. Pursue them with gladness and let Him be your joy through it all.
