"Every action has an equal or opposite reaction." - Newtons Third Law
What is it about these graceful creatures that scares so many people in today's society? Is it that we are brought up to believe they are dangerous or that they can bite?
Why live life afraid when you can embrace it, allow yourself to expirience.
People create many more issues for sharks than sharks do to people. Often sharks are caught in commercial fishing nets, they are culled and most of all, people take them from the ocean for their fins. Often after removing the fins, these sharks are thrown back into the water alive. This is not okay. We as a society do not benefit from this at all.
Here's where Newton's Third Law comes into play, Sharks are an apex predator. By putting shark populations at risk, other fish have a better ability to increase in numbers. This shifts the feeding strategy eventually affecting the herbavores in the food chain and also the algae growth. Sharks are needed to regulate all the species below them. How does this relate to people? 70% of the oxygen on planet Earth actually comes from phytoplankton in the ocean. Indirectly... we need sharks to breathe. We need sharks to live
