Rather than being the tired, boring mum sitting on the bench staring at my phone and occasionally looking up for my child, I choose to use this time to be fit, active, healthy and have some fun
I put the park benches, steps and play equipment to good use, usually making it up as I go just to keep things fresh, fun and intuitive.
This workout is regularly interrupted by Charlie requesting I race him; me running and him on his bike, which I think is an unfair advantage , or pushing him on the swing or climbing with him. It’s a bit like an impromptu HIIT session at times.
I think this is just another reason why I love weekends. Only one more day to go!
