Day 6: After an amazing day paddling & walking in the sunshine yesterday we arrived late at our camp for the eve, Llyn Cwmhason in the Rhinogs. The shallow lake had us all lying down to try to get a wash before dinner, & after the long hot slog of the day we fell into tents & passed out when the midgies took over camp.
With 25km in the bag yesterday bringing us to 92km, today's 16km walk across the Rhinogs tipped us over the 100km mark! Yewww! Ben's dad wasn't kidding when he said not to underestimate the Rhinogs & we had another tough one, running out of water & pretty shot from yesterday. Another late finish, we hit up the pub at Penmaenpool, where we were lucky to meet @vikki_mill83 @woodlandersuk, who offered us their stunning woodland as our home for the eve. After pie, chips & sticky toffee puddings our monstrous packs were bearable again & we set up camp for the night, happy in the knowledge that we are smashing the miles! Nos da pawb! #thisispackrafting #missionwales #doorstepadventures #drawntowater
