There is a time for work and a time for love. That leaves no other time." - #CocoChanel
I've been thinking about time and time for dating and dating timing. Remember the Beatles' song 🎶 "Ain't got nothin' but love babe...eight days a week..." 🎶Isn't that what we're aiming for? In the meantime, let's talk strategy, psychology and timing of dates!
A married-with-kids friend asked me the other day why I'm going out to a special dinner in NYC with married friends on a Sunday night, rather than a Friday or Saturday. I cracked up. "You've forgotten, haven't you?" I answered. When you're single, Friday and Saturday nights are golden. Friday and Saturday are the two nights with the greatest possibilities, reserved for singles shenanigans, fun, quality time with a beloved, romance, getting to know the one you're interested in, maybe even getting... you get the idea. The home cooked dinner with Great Aunt Bertha must wait for another night. My friend's question got me wondering, is your thinking like mine?
Dating Days Strategy:
Monday - Plans? With the couch? Maybe. You're easing into the week. Saving your strength for later. "Okay, Bertha, I'll be there by 7:00. I love pot roast". 😴
Tuesday - Perfect first date night. Could stay out if it’s going well OR can easily say you have an early morning and you need to keep it to just one drink and get outta there! Byeeeeee💨
Wednesday - Same as Tuesday, but it could be a #WineWednesday with friends, a guaranteed good time, liver conditioning benefits for the weekend and you never know who you might see on the other side of that wine bar. Yes, please leave the house. I know, I'm a broken record. 🍷
Thursday - a.k.a Junior Friday or #ThirstyThursday. Thursdays are a weekend warm up!💃
Friday - Date night with someone you’ve been out with a few times already and are getting comfortable with. Coming straight from work? Who cares! At this point, it’s the company that counts. 😍
Saturday - Perfect for a second or third date when things are heating up. 🔥
Sunday - Like I said, ideal for plans with married friends. 😉
What are your preferences for date planning? Any tips?
