HOW TO PERFORM A SINGLE ARM ROW CORRECTLY

✅ stand up straight, shoulders back, and keep your core tight
_
✅hinge backwards from the hips and keep a slight bend in your knee. Your chest should be facing the floor
_
✅ Make sure there is a straight line running down your back and your back is tight
_
✅ Raise your dumbbell by driving up from your elbow, and keep your elbow close to your body. Pause and squeeze at the top
_
✅ slowly lower your arm back down until it’s fully extended (at least 2 seconds on the way down)

❌ Avoid having a rounded back by bending forwards instead of hinging from the hips

❌ Do not perform the reps as fast as you can. They should be slow and controlled

❌ Avoid twisting the body when raising and lowering the arm

Oh... you don’t? Well it’s a good job that lifting weights won’t do that to women then hey!

Women have 20-40% less androgens than men (the hormones that lead to muscle growth)

Women also have 40% less muscle fiber nuclei than guys (the bits which enable us to build muscle tissue)

In fact... interestingly, after 12-16 weeks of hard training a woman’s muscle growth actually pretty much stops.. and your strength and muscle gains after that are attributed to neural adaptation (the way our brains tell our muscles what to do!)

So unless you add growth hormones to your body (which I don’t recommend) or you grow a penis (which probably isn’t the best idea) you’re not gonna get bulky girls! Just strong, and fit AF 💪🏼😍

I’m so proud of my client. I received this message this morning. Sometimes this journey just isn’t about losing “weight”. 🙅🏻‍♀️ Cut it Cold Turkey: Addicts cant just have one drink or one line of cocaine. Stop all forms of sugar, flour products, and all artificial sweeteners. These can cause increased cravings and slow metabolism; leading to fat storage. I know it’s hard at first, but there is a higher success rate for those who cut it cold than trickle down slowly.

🥤 Don’t drink your sugar: Not only do the calories rack up quickly, but this is like shooting sugar directly to your liver (hence more belly fat). Not only do you not feel full which leads you to eating more all day, but you’ll continue to crave MORE sugar and carbs! This includes sodas, sports drinks, juices (other than green veggie juice), sweetened teas, coffee/alcohol drinks, and other drinks with added sugar.

🐠 Eat enough protein: at EVERY meal (especially your first meal of the day). This is key to balancing blood sugar, insulin and cutting cravings!

🥔🥦 Eat carbs: YES eat them. Vegetables are carbs. This can help eliminate toxicity and keep you satiated. Cruciferous veggies (like broccoli) or other greens are first priority! Complex carbs like oatmeal, brown rice, and quinoa are important too.

✨ Fight Inflammation: the most common source of inflammatory foods (other than sugar, flour and trans fats) are food sensitivities. More often than not, coming from gluten or dairy. Play around with what works best with your body. We often times crave what we’re allergic to.

😴 Get more sleep: not having enough drives sugar and carb cravings up by affecting your appetite hormones. If you’re tired, you also want more energy so you are likely to reach for more food.

I was tired of feeling stuck and stagnant in my life. I am so young and have so much life ahead of me, I hated feeling like I wasn’t honoring my passions or living a life that set my soul on fire.
