Some things I wish someone would've told me about being an artist
1. Create what you WANT to create, now what you think you SHOULD. There are people out there who will love what you love to make. Find your tribe of customers and fellow creatives. .
2. Stop comparing yourself to others! Whether someone has more followers or sales than you, or you just think they're more talented than you. Just stop. We are all on different creative journeys. .
3. Use what you have, and be happy with it. I barely have time to create and I don't have endless amounts of money to invest in my art. That's totally okay! .
4. Creative ruts can and WILL happen. It's just part of the process. Maybe they are a sign that you need a break or you need to focus your energy on other things. Don't stress, they will pass! .
