My workplace has a set of company values. One of them is "Be humble" (synonyms: modest, differential, unassuming, etc.), which is definitely an aspirational quality for work (and in life). However, another company value is "Be audacious" (synonyms: bold, daring, fearless, etc.). While they aren't exactly polar opposites, it seems like an interesting balancing act!
For a work initiative, I'm focusing on the value, "Be humble." I interviewed the HR administrator, and next week, I'll talk to a sales manager. I'm curious to hear their perspectives on how you can be humble, yet audacious and also ambitious, at the office.
Dear IGers/future "Initiate" listeners, how do you strive to be humble at work, and what challenges do you face?
