Let's talk about lunges real quick.
I feel like walking lunges are one exercise that must be a staple is your workout regimen. To me, this is the exercise that attacks my glutes the most!(not squats, contrary to popular belief). & fellas, ladies like butts too, don't be selfish .
I personally love doing them with dumbbells. For one, it's easier to load/unload heavier weight if you're about that life, and two, it forces you to control the weight at your sides, actually helping your core if you engage it to control the move. Long strides, focuses more on your butt/glutes and shorter strides engages your quads more. I like doing kind of an in between stride of both if that makes sense, taxes my quads while at the same time giving my glutes some work!
Here, I had 40lbs in each hand and went for 10 reps on each leg. Go for 3/4 sets, the pump will be real! Also, make sure you keep your chest up. Shit looks easy until you're at about rep 7 and you realize, you got too much weight, lol. If you don't, try implementing these more, your butt will thank you!
P.S. - if you don't feel dead after the set, you're going too light!
