Ahhhh my little girl has just made me smile she melts my heart
I’ve been feeling a little under the weather (lack of sleep and a very busy schedule) When food just didn’t seem appealing but I knew I fancied something! She hit the nail on the head with this. I must say we don’t normally have glacier cherries in due to their refined sugar content but they were leftovers from the birthday cake I made for my son yesterday. #teachthemwell#love#daughtersareamazing#gratitude
Oh yesss, it's the night of the double dog fully loaded with caramelised red onion and red/yellow sauce! #doubledogthursday
Almost stuffed my sausages in a poppy seed baguette but I'd rather save the extra SmartPoints and spend them elsewhere if not roll them over so nabbed a flatbread from the freezer.
9 SmartPoints dinner

So back in the middle of June I went to the book launch of "The Shrinkology Solution' by Dr Meg Arroll and Louise Atkinson, some of you may remember I posted about it. Luckily for me the sun is shining this afternoon and I’ve found half an hour spare to sit in the garden and re-read parts of the book . It’s such a great read it really helps you understand your eating type which in turn helps you lose weight and in theory keep it off. As it says in the book if you think about the psychology behind eating, rather than worring about the food itself then surely its a great way to help us understand our behavious towards it. Understanding my own emotions, my behaviour and issues I had about food with my lifestyle has definitely been something I've dealt with since starting @weightwatchersuk and I can now manage to see and understand these signs if they reappear and I know that I can deal with them so differently now. This book is exactly what so many people need to read and try and understand why they eat the way they do, it’s certainly reminds me of some things I used to do and somethings that I still do to be honest. It makes perfect sense to look at why you would behave in such a way and how you could then control that behaviour better. The book gets you to take a quiz to reveal your eating type and then helps suggest a personalised plan just for you. I can honestly say this is one of the best ways of looking at your approach to food, its certainly how I made changes to my own healthy lifestyle and funnily enough that was before the book came out so reading it now helps me even more and helps me deal with so many behaviours towards food that I'd never really thought about before and they make perfect common sense. I can only speak from experience but I really do recommend this as your next read. So if you want anymore info their Instagram page is @shrinkologysolution but I do know its available on Amazon in paperback and for the Kindle and I've seen it in many book shops. So I would love to know if any of you have already read it, what you think and if it works for you too!!
Same breakfast sammie as yesterday. @thomasbreakfast light English muffin (3SP), 2 eggs (0SP), 1 slice of @krogerco mozzarella cheese (2SP), and 2 slices of @pvt_selection center cut bacon (1SP). ⠀ ⠀
Sheepishly the last one on the scales today at group!
Because it's been totm I've been feeling super bulky all week!
Sluggish, bloated, lethargic and just generally feeling bleurgh with cravings for all things sweet and sugary. Think that's why I went on a 2 night baking bender!
I was pleasantly surprised when I hopped onto the scales to see that I'd stayed the same weight as I was last week. Maybe my little late night bake offs helped save me from the biscuit barrel after all. Then there was the Reese's Pieces. 2 packets of those were used as pain relief So judging on how I was feeling, I more or less thought I had an impending gain today. Many years ago I would have allowed my feelings to control whether I showed up to group or not. Classically I would have stayed away today fearing the worst when in fact my weight was static. Try not allow your head to overrule your heart. Face it. It's never as bad as you'll think it'll be.
The struggle between low point foods and “real” foods is always a fine line with me. While we were on vacation I made my breakfast sandwiches with actual cheese instead of Velveeta and loved it. I am compromising with these for now, which are 2sp per slice instead of the 1sp per slice of Velveeta or the 4sp per slice that deli cheese usually is! @weightwatchers
