Down the memory lane Part 1.
These are some of the perfumes that I used to own but, for whatever reason it didn't work out. I almost never regret letting go of a fragrance as I am forever trying to create a perfect wardrobe that wouldn't be too big to overwhelm or too small to bore. Tough task! So my collection is a constant work in progress.
Xerjoff Shunkoin - a lovely, gentle, powdery coconutty goodness. But no lasting power and no projection on me.
Kilian Love the way you feel - lovely summery monoi oil kind of scent. But I have too many in that category and this one is too close to the Yves Rocher Monoi cheapie and I never wore it.
Goutal Vanille Charnelle - vanilla and ylang ylang. Nice, but I have too much vanilla allready.
Lutens Jeux de Peau - an unusual and interesting scent, weirdly comforting, but I literally craved it only once or twice a year and it felt wrong on all other days.
Coquilette Cookiecrunch - a gorgeous lemony vanilla cookie that I LOVE, but lasts exactly 5 seconds on my skin.
Mancera Wild Cherry - has a weird amaretto thing going on and I have issues with boozy notes.
L'Artisan Noir Exquis - almost right but ultimately wrong. I love chestnut notes, but this didn't work out.
TF Orchid Soleil - I have Soleil Blanc allready and vastly prefer that one.
TF Vanille Fatale - an unsucessful blind buy. I am anosmic to it and can't smell anything.
Profumum Sabbia Bianca - another unsucessfull blind buy. A rubbery tuberose with something that smells like spice, especially clove, which I hate.
Amouage Reflection Woman - I never find freshies that I love. I thought this one might work but it didn't.
Amouage Memoir Woman - no doubt a masterpiece scent but entirely out of my comfort zone and taste. Amazing scent, but it wore me instead the other way around.
Micallef Mon Parfum Cristal - pretty and easygoing but boring.
V Canto Stricnina - a fruit and musk attack. A powerhouse in the vein of LVEB. Not for me.
F. Malle En Passant - gentle, soft, melancholic. No lasting power and I dislike watery scents.
What are some of the scents that you parted with? Have you ever regretted doing so?
