Hello I’m back! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 so let me tell you a little about my journey 😂 when we were looking for tickets, the ones we ended up getting were SUPER cheap compared to all of the other prices. That’s because what should have been a 5 hour trip max turned into a 26 hour transit adventure 😅 lesson learned lol. Anyways, just some simple stuff to get back on track after nearly 2 weeks of treating myself 🤑 butternut squash fries from Asda, and veggie black bean hash with zucchini, mushrooms, onion, peppers, and garlic. I seasoned everything with salt and pepper and added just a smidge of lemon juice to the veggies 🍋🥗

Practicing overhead squats, and hang snatches. The movement feels better but I certainly don't know enough to know if it is actually improving? Still fun though. -

Trying to reshuffle my program to get a bit of spin in the morning plus my rehab stuff, gonna have to see if I can fit it all in. Today was a bit of messing so I can start properly tomorrow without repeating stuff I already did this week. -

Workout selfie from last Friday. Week 2 Day 1. And today I completed Week 2 Day 2.

A lot has happened in the last few days, sometimes life feels like it’s getting in the way. I caught a cold and because I love someone as complicated as I am, I spent the entire weekend having difficult discussions about the future. Havent eaten much. And today I ate a lot of much, since we had a potluck at work! Clearly my nutrition is all over the place but my appetite is back now. (Sometimes even water is revolting when you’re sick)

As a result I had the best workout I EVER had this past Friday, and today’s was so weak it had me questioning whether I could do it. I certainly couldn’t do all the exercises as prescribed, but I was able to focus on my core throughout all the movements which is a big plus, modify on the spot, push through and eventually finish. .
This being after my first circuit where I wanted to give up. Unable to do even a single pull up and wanting to go home. Feeling confused looking at the mirror, engaging and relaxing my core, over the sight of abs peaking through one moment, and what looked like a bloated 6 month pregnant-ladies belly in the next, and then back again. .
But I knew if I had dropped everything and walked out right then and there I would be disappointed and discouraged. I knew even if my workout weren’t perfect and I had to modify, I would feel proud to have completed it and for getting past the mental hurdles. This builds confidence, and I bet that it adds up.

#LPT: do interval sprints to look especially jacked in your post gym selfie. It’s been raining a lot lately so sprints were done on the treadmill today. Suffice to say, they sucked and I died.

Second video is bench 1x5 @ 55kg that was supposed to be RPE 8.5 but definitely became a 10 on the last rep due to a misgroove. 😬

Seventh video is dumbbell tricep extensions and then @getthelift changing Miley Cyrus when I was fully prepared to dance. 🙄
