#keepyarnonourstreets 'What is this all about?' I can hear you say.
The Keep Yarn on Our Streets Campaign is to raise awareness of Independent Yarn shops across the country.
Yarn shops have so much to offer:
- we are a community, offering social get togethers, to bring people together, have a chat, get to make new friends. So many of my customers come in to have a chat, and in some of my customers cases we are some of the only people they speak to all day, while buying their ball of wool or pattern. -we are a crafty hub. We offer workshops, to help you learn new skills
- a knowledge bank. We all at some point get that one pattern which just won't work! Bring it into us and we will help you solve it, teach you the skill you need to make it look professional. Something an online company can't do!
We can also help you select the yarn you need for a project, checking tensions, meterage and ensuring you have enough yarn (of the same dye) to complete your project (and if we don't, we will often go out of our way to track it down for you). So when you visit any of us yarn shops across the country, any time of the year, don't treat us like a museum, pick up a ball of wool, a few buttons or a new pattern, and help us continue to offer you lovely yarns, advice, a community, knowledge and more.
And during October you can pick up one of these pins across 40 odd shops in the Uk to show your support. @keepyarnonourstreets #shoplocal #shoplocalinsherborne #yarnshops
