We are so excited about our Mental Health Pop-Up next week! On Monday, we will share the number and you can start anonymously texting in your fears, struggles, and hopes. On Thursday, (10/18) all of those texts will be broadcasted in Barber Hall Bistro, where everyone will be able to see the texts and we will all be able to realize we aren’t going through this thing alone. Thanks to all who came out to Fall Fest on Tuesday, it was an amazing time! And we are JUST getting started! Next Thursday(10/11) we are hosting Mark Sterner at 7:30PM in the Weese Building. His presentation, "DUI: A Powerful Lesson," tells his own story of the horrors that can be created when drinking and driving mix. This event is required for all TVCC athletes. First 15 students to come through the doors get a Dutch Bros. gift card!! ☕

It is so fun to have all of our new freshman on campus today for New Student Orientation, it is going to be a great year! When all of you are back on campus on Monday, swing by the Activities office in the Weese building and pick up a volleyball intramurals packet, or sign up as a free agent! We hope you are having an amazing summer! We are in full swing of planning some fun events for fall term and the first one is our first annual "Race to the Future 5K!" This is a walk/run to raise funds and awareness for the future construction of TVCC's track and field complex. The event will take place on Saturday, September 15th at 9AM. It is $25 for adults and $15 for 12 and under to pre-register, the cost goes up $5 for day-of registration. The registration fee includes a t-shirt, race packet, and refreshments! This Thursday (1/25), Kevin will be sharing his story at FRCC. We have a few changes: doors will now open at 5:30 PM, and Kevin will be hosting an autographed book signing and meet & greet BEFORE the event from 5:30-6:30 PM. Autographed books will be available for cash purchase. Books cost $36 each. The presentation will begin PROMPTLY AT 7:00 PM and seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis. A large crowd is expected, so please plan accordingly. This event is FREE and open to the community! We are so excited and hope to see you there!
