Who cooked these divine looking and scrumptious tasting dishes you ask? Why, I did! (Kinda) A few weeks ago I attended a @mattersoftaste cooking class in Mt Pleasant with mother dearest and it was a blast. The ladies do a fabulous job, sharing tips & tricks in a lovely kitchen while creating a comfortable and homely atmosphere. We did their classic French bistro class so favourites such as duck confit, mushroom & herbed cheese filled crepes and creme brulee were on the menu. Duck fat potatoes were drool worthy and though I haven't quite nailed the blow torch my creme brulee was divine too.
I highly recommend a class with friends, family or solo, and they have heaps of cuisines to choose from with gift vouchers available too making it a great experience-gift.
Alas, I'm still trying not to burn my baked beans on toast! A terrific night though:) Ainslie
