It's easy to see why @nicandkolo have earned themselves a fantastic reputation around Perth. My pancakes were top notch, I thoroughly enjoyed the mango smoothie and the service was great. They've mastered a balance between fine dining and casual cafe, with a swish interior nestled within the suburban thoroughfare of Ardross St. With so much more on the menu that I want to try I'll be back in no time. Recently I travelled to #fnq and got to eat, drink and swim in some of the most beautiful places! I even sampled a green ant and can now add it to the list of interesting things that I have eaten.
I had an amazing week away and cannot recommend it enough! When booking your next trip why not consider somewhere in our own backyard before heading overseas. I can’t wait to return there again in the near future 💚
HIGH CHEESE IS A THING. I REPEAT, HIGH CHEESE IS A THINGGG And what a glorious, unique, drool-worthy, reasonably priced thing it is at the @littlecheeseshop. They match the cheeses to your BYO, the staff are friendly as heck and you'll be glad you pushed outta your usual cheese- comfort zone! Who cooked these divine looking and scrumptious tasting dishes you ask? Why, I did! (Kinda) A few weeks ago I attended a @mattersoftaste cooking class in Mt Pleasant with mother dearest and it was a blast. The ladies do a fabulous job, sharing tips & tricks in a lovely kitchen while creating a comfortable and homely atmosphere. We did their classic French bistro class so favourites such as duck confit, mushroom & herbed cheese filled crepes and creme brulee were on the menu. Duck fat potatoes were drool worthy and though I haven't quite nailed the blow torch my creme brulee was divine too. I highly recommend a class with friends, family or solo, and they have heaps of cuisines to choose from with gift vouchers available too making it a great experience-gift. Alas, I'm still trying not to burn my baked beans on toast! A terrific night though:) Ainslie 👯♀️
It's Thursday which means 2 chicken parmi's and a bottle o vino for $55 at Percy Flint's tonight! I stumbled upon this sweet deal cupla weeks back and they were more than happy to offer a vege alternative so my dinner date & I didn't miss out! Vege burgers can be hit or miss round town but Percy's was a homerun. The panko crumbed goat's cheese & pumpkin patty made for a crunchy outside & a soft & tasty inside, complimented by salad & pesto in a fluffy bun. And I highly rate the chips 😍. Overall a looovely Thursdee night at @percyflintsouthfreo x Ainslie 👯
